About this villa rental
La Bastide des Grandes Terres, lodging for a stay of charm in Vaucluse between Avignon and Aix en Provence, located in a calm sector at 1km of the center of Merindol, charming village of Provence with all the conveniences.
The villa 'Luberon' is in the Regional natural park of Luberon, near many villages and classified natural sites and at less than one hour of the Mediterranean sea : Lourmarin, Gordes, Roussillon, Menerbes, Ansouis, Saint Remy de Provence, Maussanne les Alpilles.
The property extends on more than 6000 m2 to the foot of Luberon, overhanging the Durance and the Golf of Pont Royal. The property is entirely enclosed and planted Mediterranean vegetation (pink olive-trees, cypresses, vines, bay-trees, lavenders...).
The 100 m² cottages can accommodate 5 guests and includes :
– a bright and airy conservatory with Jacuzzi (hot tub whirlpool)
– a large living space including kitchen, dining and living areas with AC and a fireplace
– one bedroom with double bed (queen size), a shower & AC
– second bedroom with three single beds & AC
– bathroom with twin sinks, bath and shower
– large vine-shaded terrace
– gated access to the property and carport
To make your stay enjoyable, the cottage is equipped with the following new, quality appliances :
– private SPA for 5 people with water heated to 37°C (hot tub)
– flat screen television with DVD/DivX player

A lovely property with very friendly and helpful hosts. Superb location within easy reach of Aix and Avignon and other great villages nearby. The large warm pool is set within attractive grounds. We loved every minute of our stay.

We have just returned from 10 nights in this wonderful villa. It was just as described: a very clean modern little house with everything you need, inside and out. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking and eating which we did every night. As we were with our two young children, we were happy to use the high chair, baby cot and plastic dishes provided, and even the safety gate for the stairs! Its so nice that they put thought into those small things which really improved our stay with the children. We used the spa and huge new trampoline almost everyday - our son couldnt get enough of them and the slide and swing were a big hit with our little daughter. We even had enough warm weather to use the pool twice. Arnaud and Dorothee are wonderful hosts who really try to make their guests feel at home, providing local wine and olive oil when we got there. Arnaud was interested in what we wanted to do and gave us very good advice, including printing out a schedule for some bullfighting events that were going on in Saint-Remy and leaving it out for us on the windshield of our car. He is really so friendly and helpful.We definitely recommend this place, and hope we will have the chance to visit Provence again and stay here once more.
