About this house rental
Our Black Forest house - which is very personally furnished, since we also use it ourselves - is close to meadows and forest. In the large sunny garden, deckchairs and the grill are waiting to be used. The house is mainly equipped with wooden floors and has a tiled stove, so that you can make yourself comfortable in the evening or in winter. Hiking trails are right by the house, in winter there is a cross-country ski run and a sledge slope after 5 minutes by car. A thermal bath and the beautifully designed swimming pool are 2 km away, as is the lovely town of Bad Herrenalb. Attractive cities like Baden-Baden, Karlsruhe or Strasbourg can be reached quickly, and the Black Forest National Park is also not far. If you want to use public transport, you can use the free cone card.
If you want to do wellness, you will find various beautiful thermal baths in the area. In the hotel two houses further you can use a sauna.

I found this to be a very cosy and spacious house with a beautiful garden.
The area was peaceful which was highly appreciated.
My kids loved rolling down the 'hill' in the garden. We hail from flat country ;-)
I definitely recommend this place.

Our family vacation included 2 children and 5 adults. We enjoyed our stay very much. The garden was great for the children to play in, and all of us gathered around the large table on the patio for meals. Great opportunities to hike as well as parks in the town make this an excellent destination for all ages. Highly recommended!

Although we really liked the house, the upstairs bathroom shower was not usable even though we had rented the place 3 months in advance. The grouting of the shower looked like a 2 hour job...so a bit disappointing for 5 people sharing one shower.
Also in the yard where the grill was, there was a lot of stuff that looked like it could have been thrown away..esp.if you wanted to grill.
The stove only had 2 burners..also fixable. They did have hot plate if needed.
The owner ,Gabi, also has a lot of personable clothes and toiletries that could have been easily packed up and stored elsewhere..her underwear and shirt hanging in the bathroom seemed out of place.
Here Schmidt , the manager, was very helpful and pleasant..
