A spacious property set within the stunning, tranquil shared grounds of Lanwithan Farm, half a mile from Lostwithiel with its array of amenities.. 3 steps to entrance.

Travel cot, highchair and stairgate available on request. Utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer (shared with other properties on-site). Estate grounds (shared with other properties on-site). Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Visit England 4 Star.. Set on the glorious Lanwithan Estate in the pretty riverside town of Lostwithiel, these lovely, detached properties are perfect for families wanting the peace and quiet of rural surroundings whilst being just a couple of minutes from the town. The Farmhouse has a spacious kitchen/breakfast room, a separate more formal dining room, and a living room with an open fire. The second property on-site, Granny’s Cottage, is a charming, detached retreat with a romantic, four poster bed in the master bedroom. Both properties make an ideal location for a family holiday, not only in summer but also for lovely spring and autumn breaks, as well as winter and Christmas getaways for a special family gathering.
The gardens and grounds at Lanwithan are simply gorgeous, with mature oak trees and impressive giant firs growing alongside colourful camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons. The Farmhouse and Granny’s Cottage share the extensive grounds with a small cluster of other holiday cottages on-site which have been converted from the original farm buildings. Guests are welcome to wander and explore the grounds, take in the stunning views across fields and stroll down to the banks of the River Fowey. The friendly owners live on-site in the manor house and are always happy to help. Lostwithiel itself has a unique range of shops including crafts, gifts, antiques and an auction house. Beach 7 miles. Shop and restaurant 1 mile, pub ½ mile.
The Farmhouse (ref UKC3685) and Granny’s Cottage (ref UKC3713) can be booked together to accommodate up to 10 guests.

A wonderful, characterful house, conveniently located for many of the attractions for which Cornwall is famous. It is well equipped, immaculately clean and with a lovely garden in a peaceful setting. The extensive library was a delightful surprise.
Our hosts were thoughtful and very welcoming and we were surprised and delighted to be welcomed by a traditional Cornish tea of scones, clotted cream and jam.
The only drawback was a minor problem with adjusting the temperature of the shower.
Highly recommended.
