About this house rental
This pretty country house in Umbria, converted into a vacation home, is ideal for families with children and is located in a quiet and secluded position on the slopes of a dense forest. The beautiful pool and the new outdoor Jacuzzi -tub enjoy absolute privacy and guarantee moments of relaxation while enjoying the panoramic view over the hills and the medieval village of Montecchio (TR). Relax on the sun terrace while sunbathing, sit on the beautiful veranda equipped with a small kitchenette or prepare pleasant meals outside while the children play on the playground. The property is fully fenced, offers convenient parking and even your four-legged friends are welcome here. The name of the cottage "Il cacciatore di lucciole" is not accidental and derives from the fact that fireflies come out of the woods during the summer nights, because attracted by the lights of the house, and gather in the garden. This is a beautiful natural phenomenon that creates a magical atmosphere and will make your children especially happy. In the surrounding area there are many tourist destinations that will allow you to explore this beautiful region: Orvieto, famous for its cathedral (about 25 km), Todi, a beautiful medieval town (about 34 km), Bomarzo and the Monster Park (about 27 km), Civita di Bagnoregio (about 28 km), the Terme dei Papi (VT) (about 47 km), Lake Bolsena 35 km, Lake Corbara about 20 km, popular with anglers. In an hour by car or 45 minutes by train you can reach eternal Rome from the nearby Alviano Scalo train station, with Florence also only two hours away by car. These and many other destinations are also easily accessible due to the proximity of the Rome-Florence E35 freeway network and the Orvieto toll station, just 19 km away.
