About this bed and breakfast
Welcome to our thoughtfully curated 240 sqft studio loft — a compact yet comfortable retreat tucked in the heart of East Austin. Ideal for two guests, this well-designed space offers smart functionality, modern amenities, and walkable access to everything Austin is known for — from SXSW and ACL to award-winning restaurants, nightlife, and creative energy.
Located just 15 feet behind the main house (each with its own private entrance), the loft sits on a secure, fenced-in property. Please note: you’ll need to walk up one flight of outdoor stairs to access the unit, and once inside, the lofted sleeping area is accessed by a fold-away B-Compact staircase. If you're not comfortable with stairs, this may not be the best fit. While the front house may also have guests during your stay, quiet hours from 9PM to 9AM are enforced to help ensure a peaceful experience.
Bed Configuration
We have three twin memory foam beds and recommend the space most for 2 guests, though it can comfortably sleep up to 3:
- Daybed (sleeps 1)
- Trundle (rolls out from under the daybed)
- Twin bed in loft (accessible via fold-away B-Compact staircase)
The sleeping loft is accessed via a sleek, space-saving B-Compact staircase, which folds away when not in use. Clear instructions are posted at both ends to make the process simple and safe.
The kitchenette includes quartz countertops, a portable induction cooktop, microwave, and mini-fridge — perfect for light cooking. Coffee lovers will appreciate the Fellow Aiden automated pour-over machine, which delivers barista-quality results at the push of a button.
A 50" 4K Roku TV offers Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN, and 8-gig symmetrical fiber internet ensures blazing-fast Wi-Fi for work or streaming. The space-saving B-Compact staircase folds away when not in use, and clear instructions are posted at both ends for safe, simple use.
The bathroom is stocked with Dove shampoo, conditioner, body wash, makeup-removal towels, a hairdryer, and either a steamer or iron for your convenience. We’ve also included a few extras like cards, games, and a QR code linking to our local guide — packed with recommendations for food, drinks, shops, and experiences you won’t find in tourist handbooks.
In the spirit of transparency: the loft is next door to a working metal scrapyard. They operate only during standard business hours (roughly 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday), so while there may be some occasional daytime noise, it tends to be minimal. We also provide sound machines, earplugs, and eye masks for light sleepers just in case.
You’ll be staying with a small, local team — no big property management company here. That means quick, direct communication, flexibility when possible, and personalized recommendations from people who know Austin inside and out.

No smoking or parties allowed. If we receive a noise complaint, you’ll get one warning before a fee is issued.

Very impressive small nice place. Super close to downtown Austin. My two sons and I stayed 2 nights. Great for a family of 2 or 3. Next to other nice similar houses and a metal scrapyard. We weren’t sure at first but it was great. Would absolutely stay there again.

We absolutely loved this place. It's a perfect balance of indoor and outdoor space, smartly appointed and location is just about perfect. Bring or rent a bike and you can go almost anywhere in the city from this spot! We loved it. It's cozy and fun.

This was the perfect-sized space with all the amenities needed. It was close enough to the convention center (short 10 minute walk), as well as the east side of the freeway I had not explored that had many more nice restaurants and bars than the busy west wide of sixth street. I was pleased with this an alternative to the expensive hotels closer to the convention center.
