Bedroom upstairs was comfy and the bathroom was clean.
Our stay at La Belvinière was not what we had hoped for and didn’t feel worth the price.
The “farm” consists of just a pig and a few chickens, with no real opportunity for interaction—definitely not the immersive farm experience we expected.
The pond isn’t visually appealing as well.
While the second floor bedroom was nice, the first floor with two small uncomfortable beds was dark, cold with a smell of a garage.
The hosts seemed quite reserved and we didn’t feel especially welcome, almost as if guests were seen as an inconvenience.
Breakfast was very basic and didn’t feel particularly healthy: mainly baguette, croissant, a bit of cheese and cold cuts (some of which seemed unappetizing), and a boiled egg. The setup also felt cramped.
We were traveling with two young children, aged 3 and 6, who usually stay free of charge at hotels—especially since they don’t eat much at breakfast and don’t require extra beds. However, we were charged an additional €35 per child per day. That added up to €70 per day for almost no added value, which brought the total to around €190 per night. For 3 nights that ended up as a significant increase. At that price, you can stay at a very comfortable hotel or a much better B&B.
