I stay here for the location, as it's super close to Clemson, as well as the pool and beautiful views of the lake and the trail around the lake. I wish the restaurant and the little breakfast "to go" stand had more healthy options, as we had to find restaurants in the area for breakfast and dinner. The restaurant on site needs an upgrade as well, as it's just too dark, our booth wasn't clean and its just a pub-like atmosphere with very average food.
I've stayed here several times now and I have to say its time for an upgrade to this hotel's rooms. The bathrooms have very dull lighting and our toilet was very stained with a seat that wasn't tightened. They put out travel size soaps and toiletries that don't last one use, instead of the large pump hand soap. The towels need an upgrade, with some fluffy, others so thin and scratchy, that you can't dry with them. The room fridge had a broken leg, so it was difficult to open the door to it, and the carpeting is pretty dark and dingy, and should be replaced. For the price and being a golf club, a more modern upgraded room is expected and would be greatly appreciated.

This is a great location, the property is beautiful and well kept, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would have rated this property a 10, but the lack of communication regarding the scheduled power outage during our stay lowered my score.
The Inn had a scheduled power outage for the day of our check out starting at 8am that was to last up to 6 hours. There was no mention of this when we checked in the day before. They did not offer any discounts or give any alternatives for coffee or breakfast, nor did they make any accommodations for the rooms. We got ready using the flash lights on our iPhones. The cleaning staff came by later in the morning with their lantern and asked if we needed towels. That was the only staff to reach out to see if we needed anything. The only notification we received regarding the power outage was through the Booking.com notifications center which I was not checking during our vacation time. The front desk staff should have notified/reminded us when we checked in and offered some accommodations for the room and for breakfast.
