About this villa rental
Chiesa del Carmine is a stunning 11th century church and 18th century farm house restored in 2012 as a beautiful 14 bed country house nestling amongst hills in a peaceful valley, surrounded by meadows, woods, vineyards and olive groves. It is reached via a ‘strada bianca’ – white (unmade) road – and is approximately 1 kilometre from the main road. The views from the church and house are beautiful. There is an atmosphere of peace and quiet although the property is not isolated. The property is divided into two structures, the first the ancient church and the second the farm house. The ancient church features a large well equipped kitchen, a dining room and a large drawing room in the main section of the church. The restored farmhouse features eight bedrooms and six bathrooms: four ensuite double bedrooms, two double rooms and two single room which share two bathrooms. Wonderful landscaped garden, with a large swimming pool, pergolas, fountains and numerous terraces.

From beginning to end absolutely marvelous. Property was exactly as pictured, in fact better than photos. Staff was so accommodating, we were very impressed. Do not hesitate to hire the chef, she was amazing. This is a better than 5 star experience, absolutely the best experience.
Beds were very comfortable, all bedrooms have AC and ceiling fans, but really it is not necessary (even with our 90 degree days), pool is beautiful, kitchen is well stocked and we were provided some welcome foods (as well as asking for some additional items) there are several grocers nearby.
Easy drives to most of Umbria, it is a “hike” to other large cities ie Florence/Rome, but easily accessible via train.
Really, there is no way you can be disappointed choosing Chiesa Del Carmine.
