About this house rental
Welcome to Sixteen Jandals - a 3 bedroom house located in what we think is the perfect spot in Russell. Just an easy 10 minute walk into Russell (or 2 minute drive) or a 12 minute walk to Long Beach. This is a great spot to bring family and friends for an amazing holiday in the winterless north.
Gather everyone around the large 10 seater table on the front deck for a drink and nibbles and enjoy the view of Matauwhi Bay or relax on bean bags on the back deck while waiting for the pizza oven to heat up to cook your own delicious woodfire pizzas.
In the evenings sit back, relax in the spa and watch the stars - we have everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Sixteen Jandals is close enough to walk into the centre of Russell and enjoy all it has to offer - local history, restaurants, bars, boating fishing and other outdoor activities. It's also far enough away to be able to enjoy the peace and quiet where you can listen to, watch and encounter up close the native birds that visit on a regular basis.
Check in is from 3pm and Check out is 10:30am - we just ask that you leave the house as you find it.
Special conditions:
- Min booking 2 nights (5 night min from mid Dec to end of Jan)
- Dog allowed with prior approval (max 1 per booking)
- Smoking allowed outside only - butts must be disposed of safely and in designated place only
- Use of spa pool (please see spa rules) and pizza oven is at users own risk.
- All Linen included including beach/spa towels
- Please leave the place as you found it
If not left clean then extra cleaning fee will be charged
- The shared drive is not suitable for large trucks or trailers.
As we have a shared driveway we cannot provide parking for boats.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Leave the house clean and tidy (as found) including removing all rubbish from property. Note bedding and towels can be left for us to manage.

Excellent location - amazing views, peaceful, quiet. Felt secluded but an easy walk into Russell. Property was great - perfect size for 4 adults as you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. Pizza oven and jacuzzi were a lovely bonus. There was a good amount of wear and tear and the mattress were very springy but it was clean, tidy and welcoming

A week away with the family. This property had everything we needed but it needs some significant repairs. There were issues with locks on several doors meaning we either couldn’t lock or unlock doors. The decking is in need of replacing. There were nails coming through, parts were rotten and the balustrade was dangerous. Not a major issue for us but this would be completely unworkable with small children or elderly visitors.

The house was tidy inside and the beds were comfortable. Parts of the deck were unstable and in need of repair, as was the driveway. The whole property could do with some care and attention.
