Jerry & JoAnn invite you to open the private gate to Riverwood's park-like setting and begin your stay on the 5 acre Rouge river front property with its second floor guest suite. Plenty of parking.
Enjoy the second floor deck with its expansive views of the river and property. Watch the local wildlife including deer, geese, egrets, many types of ducks, eagle and osprey. The osprey nest is just a short distance away. The property is alive with large pine trees, majestic oaks, dogwood and acres of grassy areas. The river is abundant with native trout, steelhead and salmon. How about a trout breakfast. Sit in an Adirondack chair and enjoy the floating dock, or just sit on the private beach. Wood is available for a beach fire . Take a dip or simply lounge around the pool. Have your morning coffee / tea on the deck or BBQ your evening meal. The 750 square feet suite features a bedroom with a 4 corner poster bed, living room with kitchenette, microwave, large screen TV, listen to music or ask questions on Amazon Echo, internet access, antique roll top desk, premium sofa bed, dining area, and bathroom with shower and bathtub. The large grassy area that borders the river is great for picnics, throwing a football and other activities of your choice.
The property is rural in the Rouge Valley between Ashland and Grants Pass, but only a little over a mile from Highway 5. Ashland and its renowned theater is about 30 minutes away.
Enjoy wine tasting at the many wineries, many have live music, shopping in the historic town of Jacksonville, rafting the Rouge River, a hike up Table Rock, dining at excellent restaurants, the adventurous Hellgate excursions, or biking the trail from Gold Hill to Ashland, There are some pretty nice golf courses available.
JoAnn’s art studio and Ewoodart are both on the property and sometimes available for tours
Sway in the three person bench swing located between to large pine trees with a wonderful view of the grassy area and the river.
Some people never go outside the grounds and spend their time reading, enjoying the quiet, relaxing by the pool or the river or maybe a picnic by the river. It is there for you to enjoy the paradise of Riverwood.

Very enjoyable. Very clean and well apportioned. Very small kitchen but worked well for us. We didn't use the pool, but it looked well maintained. Rained much of the time we were there but when we got the chance we sat by the river for hours. Beautiful setting. Had a bit of trouble accessing the place but it was resolved quickly. We travel to Medford often and would stay there again.

Wonderful views, deer and wild turkeys in the morning! Gemma was a wonderful greeter, meeting you to gather some extra pets;) Maui loved all the grass and playing the sprinklers! Thank you for our getaway weekend.

So my experience was very uncomfortable I felt like I was walking on eggshells the whole time..I had booked this place for my daughters bday for 4 nights ..which cost me a lot!! And I had been waiting for this week for a couple months and was super excited!! After I booked I realized that it had said in the information that u could not have large groups ..so I reached out to the owner letting him know that I was trying to have my daughters 8th bday and was just going to have family at the party .. he agreed and said I could have it BUT!! He didn’t want more than 10 people and he then gave me a time limit ! I also did not stay there the whole time I only stayed 2 out of the 4 nights and only went out there in the evening because it was so uncomfortable for me .. The first night there I had asked him if he wasn’t comfortable with me having the bday I was ok with him charging me for the night I did stay, plus any cleaning fees, and I would go some place else .. again he said it was ok and he then gave me rules again !! Mind u I paid 1000+ for these 4 days.. I wish I would have just cancelled and would have been able to take my money and used it to buy more gifts for my kid rather than be uncomfortable and told to be quite ,don’t be to loud, and giving time limits like I’m a kid .. the owner was not rude or anything.. it just was not a good fit and I wish he would have just returned my money so it would not have been so uncomfortable for the both of us I’m sure..
