About this cabin rental
Our Rock House / Green Door is the perfect place to unplug and recharge. This carefully crafted cabin is nestled deep in the woods, pairing a true mountain experience with modern finishes. Spend your mornings on our patio while sipping your coffee with the mountain birds, your days in the stunning mountains with nearby hikes, then your nights cooking while the fireplace is going. Only a short drive to Town Center! We invite you to make some new memories in our lovely cabin!
There is one bedroom with a king bed and a sofa bed in the living room.
There are other cabins on this property - it is 12 acres with a couple cabins nearby. There are no shared areas other than the parking and driveway.
In the winter months, if you plan on bringing more than one car, please let us know and we will try to accommodate.
The AC/Heating for the Unit is a Mini Split system. There is one unit in the kitchen area and one unit in the bedroom. They work effectively but please be patient after turning on. Please do not overrun.
Check in: You will have access to the "Arrival Guide" on the VRBO app about 24-48 hours before your check in. Then, we will message you the lockbox code the day of your check in through our message thread.
Please read before booking:
- PETS: Only dogs allowed, no cats or other animals. We have a max of 2 dogs allowed. If you would like to bring a dog, please make sure to select 1-2 PETS at booking to ensure the pet fee is included. Dogs must be paid for at reservation time. If there is an unauthorized dog during the stay, a fee of $100 will be applied, plus the original pet fee. There is no fenced yard and pets must be on leashes at ALL TIMES and not left unattended in the cabin.
- DISCLAIMER: The WiFi is meant just for minimal texting and low speed data, like texting (can be spotty at times). There is very limited cell reception on the property.
- Please note that there is a difference in price over 2 guests. To compare the price, please select 2 guests, then select 3-4 guests at booking.
- Firewood is not provided. Please stop by the local stores for firewood before your stay.
- Items not permitted with no exceptions: Events of any kind, Unauthorized Guests, EV Charging, Smoking inside or around the Premises & No fire pits/outdoor fires.
- We are in a Mountain Town, during winter months, there may be snow which might require you to wait on the snow plows (we're a small Town) or shovel your car or walkway out of the property.

Please check the weather conditions prior to your departure. Snow chains are needed with icy conditions!

We spent two very enjoyable nights at the Rockhouse. The exterior is charmingly rustic but the interior is modern and clean. We appreciated the A/C units in the main room and bedroom for our summer visit. The location is close to town but feels remote and peaceful. We didn’t hear any noise from neighbors during the day or night. We would definitely stay here again.

This little cabin is a nice place for a couple looking for a quiet romantic getaway. My wife and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary and had a great time. Just be aware there are no TV’s and the WiFi is almost worthless. However, the listing clearly indicated there was no TV and I think the WiFi is pretty new. So maybe some kinks to work out. A few more towels would be great as we only had two, and there needs to be a bath mat or someone is going to slip on the tile getting out of the shower and hurt themselves. Emma was a great host.

The property is as advertised. It is a quaint little cabin in a great area. We had a great time by the fireplace each night and enjoyed the patio for morning coffee. It's a great distance from town for shopping and having dinner. Emma was great and very attentive to anything we need. We would definitely stay here again.
