Lovely place to stay. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and quality service. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and always ready to help with a smile.
The breakfast was very tasty.
Right in the heart of Barolo region, very convenient to explore wineries.

Everything. This is our second stay; we first came here last year when the pandemic let up a bit towards the end of summer, and loved it so much we made a point to return this year. Of our 2 week trip in Italy, staying at 4 places, Castello di Sinio was easily the best - in terms of hospitality, food (dinner and the breakfasts), value, the immaculate attention to detail, rooms and amenities, and of course, the people who work there. The dinner there is not to be missed, by far the best meal of our trip - SO delicious and generous, but also beautifully crafted (and not even pricey compared to many of the other nice dinners we had).
Denise is an inspiration in how much care, effort, dedication she has put into making Castello di Sinio a truly exceptional and welcoming place. Thanks so much for everything and we can't wait to come back again!
Mosquitos are completely bonkers in August in Italy, at least in the places we visited (wine regions) - be prepared!

Food is excellent
We made the mistake to bring our little puppy dog, didn't really check pets policy. Our fault. The owner really hates dogs. She was clearly after us and fixated on the dog although he is a baby and is well mannered and very discreet - he didn't do anything wrong or disturbed anyone. Honestly we didn't find the level of hospitality we've always found in Italy. The owner is not Italian and that makes a big difference. We had to leave after 1 day as she was so upset about the dog she requested first thing in the morning to change the room (for no good reason as nothing happened in the room) and to leave one day earlier. She asked us to pay extra fee for new room and extra fee for cleaning (sheen dropped the latter at the end). Again that's her right not to like dogs - and it was our fault not checking the policy - but we've never seen someone with such hard feelings about puppy dogs. It tells a lot...
