It was a beautiful property. It was nice to get away from the crowds and just relax by the beach. The rooms were clean and the staff were so welcoming. They treated everyone like family! It was nice to eat at the restaurant every night and not worry about having to find a place to eat.
We really loved everything! The room felt slightly dated but overall was really nice and large.

Stunning location, with thermal pools cut into the hillside. You can swim in a beautiful bay; at night it's very special with all the lights. There are very few bedrooms, so we enjoyed the peace and quiet in the evening.
As we were there at the end of the season, the owner invited us for a complimentary 3/4 course dinner on our past two nights, which was wonderful!
It was all wonderful but just to note that you do have to come down a very narrow road to reach the hotel, but there's always a driver available to take you into town (for a charge). The buses are fab on Ischia, too.

What an amazing stay! The staff & owner here were so responsive, helpful, and sweet. They answered all our questions and made our stay so lovely. They really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. The food we had in the restaurant was so good, the tubs were amazing for soaking, they had a shuttle for hire which we used twice to the port, & they organized a scooter rental for us! We came in October and basically had the whole place to ourselves with the exception of 2 other couples. I would definitely return here and would recommend it to anyone.
Rooms are nice & clean but nothing fancy and a bit older looking - totally fine for us and you really can't beat the ocean view just steps out the door! The ocean on this side of the island was too rowdy during our stay to jump in and swim in at the resort but we visited other beaches during the day and just used the hot spring tubs at night here, which were lovely (:

Overall: Hit & miss experience. This felt like more of a thermal spa ‘waterpark’ first, hotel second. NB - we are a couple in our mid 30's and really not high maintenance people and never normally leave negative reviews. We stayed here on our honeymoon and booked this hotel as a bit of a ‘luxury’ option on the island. What we did like:
- The pools/sea terrace area really are extremely beautiful.
- The staff are friendly (particularly at the restaurant during lunch/dinner)
- The food in the restaurant for lunch/dinner is pretty good and fresh (although really overpriced - but what do you expect at a hotel restaurant)
- Iit’s fairly easy to get into Ischia Town (it’s about an 8 minute uphill walk to the main road and then buses go direct every 8-10 mins. We would normally get a taxi but doesn’t seem to be a common form of transport on the island.)
- The room was clean, and we found the beds to be comfy (on the firmer side.)
- Having had our wedding a week earlier, also abroad, we were in desperate need of some washing being done and had assumed coming to a hotel of this size they could assist. Turns out it is not something they do, BUT, they did oblige in taking it and doing it for us, so we appreciated that… but it did take 2 days to sort out and was handed back to us damp at the point of checking out.
- The hotel will tell you can only get their 'specific taxi transfer' to and from the port due to the size of the road leading to the hotel (20 euros for the 7 minute or so drive). It is a very narrow road, but any of the narrower cars or vans waiting at the port would fit down there. We moved to another hotel on Ischia after and the hotel said they could arrange the transfer. We decided to use it again for ease. The new hotel was about 3 minutes beyond the port (so total around 13 minute drive, if that) and upon getting out the driver told us it 30 euros! Claiming the extra few minutes was worth the 10 euros. Unfortunately, I think the town has a bit of a monopoly on tourist for taxis, but this felt like a scam given the cost of the stay. (NB - The hotel we next stayed at offered a free shuttle to and from the port and the cost of our stay was a third the price of O'Vagintallio. )
- As it was our honeymoon (which we’d flagged in advance) we had hoped for a small welcome gesture to this, but got nothing. We had a bunch of flowers (from a special dinner in Ischia Town at Auras - highly recommend!) and left them in the bidet with some water in the roo, thinking (hoping!) house keeping might find a jug/cup to put them in, but they were left there the next 2 and half days in the bidet. The next hotel we stayed in (far cheaper/lower star) put the flowers in a jug.
- Rooms lacked basics: no water, glasses, coffee station, or even a welcome booklet with WiFi/tour info.
- Breakfast was poor - you'd expect some kind of buffet in a hotel of this value but instead it was a set: stale jam croissant, the same fruit and yoghurt daily (some grapes and cuts of melon), and basic eggs with no toast or bread.
- No service at sunbeds for the pool areas (they could be making a killing offering drinks!)
- The hotel in house boat trips were quoted at 1300€ (a day!!) and 700€ (half a day!!), far pricier than alternatives.
