I made the booking with Agoda for my family holiday in June and the payment was charged on 28 May to my credit card. On the day of arrival, I was told to give a security deposit which will be placed on hold and the amount will not be charged. As this is quite a standard procedure across hotels, I went ahead to give them my credit card for the security deposit. However, I noticed from my iBanking that the amount was charged hence, during check out, I requested the front desk to process the refund. Golia, the receptionist, requested my card details and bank swift code and I gave it to her. I was then informed that I will receive the deposit within 3 working days. I continued my journey to other parts of Europe after leaving the resort, Landgoed Bergvliet. When I arrived back in Singapore, I realised that they have not processed my refund of EUR800, I then wrote to them multiple times. Till date, the refund has not been made. It’s been almost a month.
