This house is really a hidden gem, we loved our stay here. The fruit Sandra left for us are the sweetest I've ever had.The location is very convenient to downtown Kona.The layout of the rooms are a little funky to get used to, but totally functional, with 2 bathrooms and a lot of doors to go to the pool!Can't beat the private pool and hot tub! Watching sunset there, listening to the birds chirp and frogs sing, magical.Lastly, I will mention there is no dishwasher in the kitchen, or washer/dryer, not a big issue though.

Beautiful property, enjoyed the pool and hot tub very much. Also frolicked around the yard in the rain and it was wonderful. My husband and I would definitely stay here again.

We cannot say enough about this beautiful home. The pool and hot tub were an amazing place to watch the sunset every night. We hardly felt the need to leave. Although the owners live upstairs, privacy was absolutely not an issue, we never even noticed they were there except in the morning when I would head out for my run on the safe and beautiful neighborhood just up the hill from us (which Sandra thoughtfully told me about). She also offered to share her fresh vegetables with us and the grounds are stunning. When we arrived there were fresh avocados, star fruit and lemons already picked from the orchard. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need (although a new non-stick frying pan would be much appreciated) and there is a large propane BBQ for grilling. Stores are close, the beach is a short drive and being up on the mountain, but still protected from the rain you had much more pleasant temperatures than we experienced in Kona. The only recommendation I have for improvement would be a new mattress on the wonderfully sized king bed, and updated cushions on the couch which were torn in few places and losing their comfortable plushness for lounging about (I have particular sensitivity to these things as I struggle with chronic back issues). Also, I am allergic to most perfumes so I found the cleaning and beauty products that were stocked to be largely unusable to me as a result but, again, I am unusually sensitive to these things. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfectly relaxing trip to Hawaii, and would stay here over and over again. Our three year old son was in heaven and even learned to snorkel in the pool!
