About this house rental
Luxury ski lodge with sweeping views of the mountains and forested valley beneath!!! This newly renovated 6 bedroom 4 bath house with a hot tub has over 3500 square feet and sleeps 12-18 people. All furniture is brand new and is nearly all supplied by Crate & Barrel. The open floor plan and adjoining large main deck make this house perfect for entertaining and enjoying the outdoors. This home is in a great location for any season in Lake Tahoe.
Amenities include brand new hot tub, wood stove, washer & dryer, 3 LCD televisions (2 with cable service), wireless internet and DVD.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, granite countertops, and includes microwave, dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffeemaker, cookware, and dinnerware. The 6 bedrooms include: a master suite with whirlpool tub, shower and private deck, a junior suite with private entrance, 3 Queen bedrooms and 1 bedroom with 2 twins. In addition, 3 pull out queen sofa beds exist: 1 in the loft, 1 in the great room and 1 in the game room. Bed linens, towels and blankets are supplied.
The game room includes a 55' LCD TV, pool table, and sitting area as well as access to the neighboring forest which backs up to the house.
The garage accomodates 2 cars/SUVs, and 2 additional vehicles will fit in the driveway.
Located near Donner State Park, you can swim or paddleboard, camp, have a picnic, or hike the 2.5 miles of trails in the park. Bring the clubs. There are no less than 13 golf courses around Truckee. You'll have access to nearby sports/activity facilities (for a nominal fee) including a recreation center with a work-out area, pools and hot tub, downhill ski area (perfect for teaching kids) and a tennis center. There are museums, shops, restaurants and lots more!

When i first saw the pictures i was unsure if it would accommodate the party. But after checking in there was plenty of sleeping room and the home was very nice and updated. Was very happy with our stay. The rooms on the middle floor stayed almost too warm while downstairs was colder as heat rises so i would suggest the people who get hotter easily stay downstairs while the people who like warmer temps stay on the middle floor. Wi fi worked great! Had a great time making memories. Very close to boreal and sugar bowl. Would definitely recommended to qnyone seeking accommodations for larger groups.

We found the owners to be quite responsive. The house with four levels included two extra sleeper couches that were not needed for sleeping but were greatly enjoyed for sitting around on. The pool table was constantly in use. The sleeping level below the kitchen and dining room could hear noises from above while the bottom floor was pleasantly quiet.
We would happily return to this house given the opportunity.

The location and size were as advertised. Many fun memories were made together. However, many continuous issues came up which interfered with the vacation we had paid for. We were short on bedding and supplies. The jacuzzi was out of order. Extra linens had to be washed in order to use due to stains and looking unwashed. Not to mention we had to call family members to bring us extra bedding.There were careful instructions about use of the hottub but the cover was so dilapidated that some family members wouldn't let their children use it for fear they would be held financially responible for breaking it. When we let the owner know, he said that it was our bad luck that the hottub cover was supposed to have been replaced but there was a delay. However he was quick to return my initial call and try to fix issues, but we actually had to keep trying to solve issues which cut into the enjoyable uninterupped time with our family that we had paid for. A couple of bathroom sinks were slow draining. The last night a little mouse was running around the downstairs. I realize we are in a forest and critters are out there, but in response to all our concerns, the owner offered to reimburse us for our expenses as we had to buy extra TP, laundry soap, foil, etc. I felt it wasnt' a 20 reimbursement issue. It was a hassle issue. It was not receiving what we had paid for as advertised. We made do and had a wonderful time but we wasted hours solving all the issues.
