About this house rental
Our recently remodeled ranch in the city is close to everything. We have 3 bedrooms and 3 baths perfect for 6 guests, each bedroom equipped with room darkening shades to aid in sleeping-in (you're vacationing here, after all, so indulge). The open plan living room, dining room, and kitchen has plenty of counter space making for great entertaining. This area leads directly to our large screened porch, which is great for just relaxing anytime: morning coffee, afternoon naps, or evening cocktails. If you just need to watch TV there are several, in addition to the one in the media room all with UVerse U300 digital cable (most channels in HD). WIFI is also available.
Situated in a quiet neighborhood close to Seneca Park and two top local golf courses - one public and one private (PGA Championship held at Big Springs GC in the 1960s). Convenient to Bowman Field if you are flying in for the big race and 3 different interstate exits for easy arrival and departure if you're driving. Fifteen minutes from downtown and closer to the trendy nightspots of the Highlands, NuLu and Frankfort Avenue. Approximately 20 minutes from SDF and Churchill Downs with normal traffic flow (exception: Oaks and Derby Days!)

The house was perfect for our Derby girls trip. The screened porch was amazing, the beds were clean and comfortable, and the neighborhood was lovely. The hosts were wonderful to work with and communication was frequent and helpful. They thought of everything! I would highly recommend!

The neighborhood was beautiful, quiet and easy to get to. The house was amazing, but the best part of the stay was the awesome 3 season porch, which is where we spent all of our "off" hours from the track at. Owners were great to work with and responded quickly to a couple of questions we had during our stay. I would highly recommend this property to anyone. We will be thinking about coming back next year because of the wonderful experience we had this year.

I can't say enough wonderful things about this place. The owners are super sweet and communicated with me in advance to ensure that we had everything needed leading up to our visit. When we arrived we were greeted by a welcome gift basket full of KY-related goodies, and they left out fresh mint and sugar with directions on how to make our own mint juleps! So sweet and thoughtful. They had a guest folder with suggestions of what to do in the area which was also helpful. We had 6 adults in our party, and we all felt comfortable with the sleeping and bathing arrangements, not to mention the screened porch is phenomenal especially in the mornings sipping coffee and evenings sipping bourbon (hey, that's what you do in KY!). The house is conveniently located to fun neighborhoods in Louisville, and there's a wonderful park system within walking distance. Highly recommend Cherokee Seneca if you're visiting Derby....we had a very pleasant experience here.

We stayed here for The Derby and could not have felt more welcome. We spent almost all of our time enjoying the screened in porch which had more than enough space for the six of us. The price was much better than we would have had to pay for 3 hotel rooms plus we had all that living space. Don’t pass this up for The Derby!
