About this house rental
Custom estate with Over 3,700 sq ft. and breath taking views of lake Mathews and 280 degree views of the city lights. Private escape away from the hustle of Southern California but close enough to all of the attractions. 40 minutes to Disneyland, 1 hour to Los Angeles, 1 hour to San Diego. 30m to wine tasting in Temecula. 1hr to the beach.
Late Checkout is almost always guaranteed, just ask.
A quick 8 mile trip down the canyon and you will find Dos Lagos which includes over 20 restaurants and lounges with wine tasting, steak houses, shopping and everything in between.
This gorgeous, custom home in the Prestigious Lake Mathews Estates was updated in 2014. This home boasts a long winding driveway with over 40 palm trees which leads to the main entrance of the house, surrounded by lush landscaping, and various water features. Palm trees line the property along with a lime tree, avocado tree, rose bushes, daisies and much more. Formal Living room with marble surround fireplace & custom wood mantle. Formal dining room with wood style floors, custom crown molding & french doors leading to the back patio. Kitchen has lots of maple cabinets, bull-nosed granite, center island with Jenn-Air electric cook top & grill plus a built in wine cooler.The living room features a gorgeous rock fireplace & also faces the view. There is a downstairs bedroom & a downstairs bathroom which has been fully renovated with granite, new modern shower, etc. There is a office desk in the room with 2 extra-wide glass windows. Go up the spiral staircase to the best view in the home - a full wet-bar and pool table. Down the hall is another bedroom that is the size of the master.. Across from the bedroom is a guest bathroom that has been completed remodeled with granite counters and redone showers.All bedrooms have mirrored wardrobe doors and are of generous size. Master suite/bathroom has been completely remodeled with Emperador marble throughout and granite counters. The sleeping area of the master bedroom has been elevated to enjoy those stunning views when laying in bed. The master also has a large walk in closet with plenty of room for even the biggest wardrobes. The master and upstairs bar area lead to a huge deck with 280 degree unobstructed views of Lake Mathews and the surrounding city lights.
At night the whole property is lit up with solar lights which transforms the property in to an evening entertainers delight.

The view was breathtaking and the host provided great service. We ran into a small issue with the WiFi and phone service. I think it’s because the property is on a hill that the signal was a little weak. However. we were able to communicate. The host was very responsive. If you’re looking for a nice get away with family and friends, in a house with space, I recommend this location.

This property is so beautiful! We stayed for easier access to get to Silverlakes for a soccer tournament. It was easy and convenient.

This home is truly one of a kind. Also, don't get me started on the view! The rooms at this property were clean, spacious, cozy, and well equipt with toiletries/blankets/towels. The backyard was gorgeous, especially at night, and had many areas to kick back and enjoy your time outdoors. The games were my favorite, there was always something to keep you entertained. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials, but the bathrooms unfortunately weren't. We weren't given much toilet paper in any of the restrooms so I would advise you bring your own if you plan on having a lot of guests like I did. I saw reviews saying that the interior is dated and certain parts of the house needed fixing. I personally liked the older feel of the home, and the only parts that needed fixing were some switches and outlets which weren't an issue to us at all. The only things I would warn about before booking is that cell service and wi-fi were not the best because the property is up on a hill. Also, the drive up to the place was a little crazy and the area is pitch black at night so it could make driving there a challenge. The host of this property was amazing and easy to work with from the start. Kudos to him for being the only host that allowed the number of guests I had. Richard did a great job at being responsive and was more than generous with early check-in/late check-out. Overall, it was an enjoyable stay, and I will definitely be back. Thank you Richard for sharing your place with us!
