About this house rental
The house is just off Lourmarin , one of the most beautiful villages in France! Ideally located between Avignon and Aix en Provence, Lourmarin nestles in the middle of vineyards and olive trees. Enjoy the magnificent view on the Luberon, the amazing overflow pool and its wooden deck. Accommodation: the house has just been totally refurbished to the highest standards with a subtle mix of modern and antique pieces of furniture. This house offers 5 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms a very large kitchen, fully equipped (we love cooking when we are there!!) a dining area with table easily suiting 10 persons, and a large living room with fireplace opening on the deck with large French windows.
The view over the Luberon mountains from the sofa is so lovely!!! You need to know that this is not only a renting house, we live there too.... this means a lot to us as we want you to feel home and comfortable. Whether you just want to chill out and relax by the pool, play 'petanque' at the house, check your e mail from the deck thanks to the free wifi access everywhere in the house , or ride the bicycles to visits the local villages , each with their pittoresque weekly market (don't miss Lourmarin's farmer's market on Friday morning!) You will have everything you need to spend a memorable week in Provence. You can even cook your home made pizza in the outside 'Four à pizza'!!! Location: if your idea of a perfect Provence village includes cafes and restaurants spilling out onto the cobbled streets, Lourmarin is the place for you.
You will find a detailed list of our selection of restaurants and places we love in Provence in the house. Sites to see in Lourmarin include the 15th-16th century Castle, the Romanesque St. Andre church, a lovely campanile and some nice old fountains. Lourmarin is nicely situated as a base for visiting Provence. It's in the heart of the Luberon, with Aix-en-Provence about 30 minutes to the south and Avignon 45 minutes to the west. Some lovely nearby villages along the southern edge of the Luberon are Vaugines, Ansouis, Cucuron, Cabrières d'aigues and La Motte-d'Aigues. Also very close, on the northern edge of the Luberon, are Bonnieux, Lacoste, Ménerbes and Oppède. The market town of Apt is only 20 minutes away. The drive north towards Bonnieux goes through the beautiful, narrow river valley called 'Combe de Lourmarin'. The Luberon offers an abundance of natural wonders.....

Just had the most wonderful stay, super communication with Sophie prior to our arrival, and could not be more helpful with all aspects of our holiday. The house was perfect, spacious for 7 adults and 2 kids. The most fabulous space to all be together and yet have a really chilled time as well. We have laughed, eaten beautiful food and tried all of the regions wines, a really super stay. Thank you so much x

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at this property. The house is beautiful, modern and very well kept. Outside is where it really shines though - the pool is incredible and the outside space meant we spent nearly all of our time outside poolside. Some of our most amazing memories were playing boules at the front of the property as the sun went down at the nearby vineyard. Will be booking again 100%.

We had the most wonderful time here. We had 3 guests from Boston, one from London and one from Munich. Everyone agreed this home was exceptional and the layout of the house is ideal for groups. The pool is stunning with beautiful views. The kitchen is well equipped even by chef standards. The host Sophie was a super responsive and helpful. Nothing was a problem and anything we needed was provided quickly. The nearest village is about a 20-25 minute walk so I would recommend renting a car to avoid the walk in the heat and to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Das wunderschöne Haus ist in der malerischen Landschaft Nähe Aix-en-Provence. Das nächste Dorf ist Lourmarin mit traumhaften typischen südfranzösischem Markt und kleinen Gassen und Cafés. Das Haus ist optimal für grosse Familien-/Freundestreffen, zum entspannen in der Sonne und grosse gemeinsame Essen, die Aussicht der Terrase ist wunderbar! Die Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit allem was man braucht.
Wir haben unser Wochenende wahrlich genossen und empfehlen das Haus wärmstens weiter!
