About this apartment rental
A real little gem of a property which has become a firm favourite of friends, family and guests that come back again and again, winter and summer. This beautiful apartment occupies the ground floor of a 3 storey detached house, yet has its own private driveway, entrance and garden. Inside it is decorated in a contemporary Mediterranean theme, and is fully equipped with everything you could need for a truly relaxing holiday. The apartment is ideal for 2 people but can also accommodate extra people on the large sofa bed in the lounge.
There is a spacious lounge, one bedroom and a bathroom with full sized bath and separate shower. There is also a large, fully equipped kitchen and from here you walk straight out into the garden. This has a glorious setting with views of the sea and mountains across the Mirabello bay which turn pink at sunset. The garden has a dining terrace where you can dine al fresco, as well as an area with sun loungers and beach towels.
Whilst peaceful and relaxing, the apartment is ideally situated if you want to venture out. If you fancy a swim, long sandy Almiros beach is 8 mins walk in front of you. To go further a car is essential. We are on the outskirts of the sophisticated resort of Agios Nikolaos with its bars, shops and restaurants - all this is only 25 minutes walk away or 5 minutes by car. The apartment also makes a perfect base for travelling round the island. Fabulous location, secluded yet nearby to all amenities when needed.
Everyone says it has a home from home feel, which is probably why people return. Designed with holiday makers in mind, it seems to provide a relaxing sanctuary to escape the stresses of modern life. We live on site but pride ourselves on giving guests total privacy, as well as security, as they know that we are on hand if they need us for anything. We do our utmost to ensure that all our guests have the kind of holiday they desire. Certainly everyone seems to go home happy, relaxed and rested!
Also available for WINTER LETS....we have a lovely mild winter climate which makes it a great place for hiking, painting, writing and for digital nomads etc. The apartment has central heating (included in the price) for colder days.
February 2023 update….we have just installed air conditioning in the apartment.
Plus there are ceiling fans in the bedroom and lounge.
Nearest airport is HERAKLION. A car is essential and there is private parking right next to the apartment. Also, please note, prices quoted for the apartment INCLUDE the new Greek climate resilience tax of 8 euros a night.

Safe, quiet, clean, comfortable, private, inexpensive and more…impeccable apartment, with a great view, large terrace/garden, private parking. Easy and beautiful walk (30’) to downtown. Wendy is a great host and offers you lots of flexibility for check in/out.

The cottage is perfect for a getaway. Wendy has thought of all the little things that make the difference. Example is.....dishwashing liquid , seasoning for food and different teas. She also has a little washing machine and a drying rack which is really helpful. With a lovely little patio with

This is an excellent apartment set on a terrace below the owners’ house with lovely mountain and sea views just outside Agios Nikolaus.
Wendy and Petros were very friendly and helpful.
We particularly enjoyed cooking on their BBQ as the sun went down.
The accommodation is accurately described, well equipped and very comfortable. There are several good beaches nearby and the town is beautiful.

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment and were made to feel very welcome and at home by Wendy and Petros. It was great to have access to the garden and patio around the apartment and to be only a short distance from the local beach and a few minutes drive from the attractive town of Agios Nikolaos.
The apartment is spacious and comfortable. Crete can get pretty hot so we loved being able to leave doors and windows open, knowing that the sliding screens prevent any insects entering. We found the 2 ceiling fans sufficient for ventilation, but could have used the aircon unit had we needed to.
Everything you could want was provided - washing machine, coffee maker, oven, microwave etc. and you can cast e.g. Netflix to the TV from your mobile!
The apartment is self-contained but it was nice to know that the owners were at hand if you needed anything.
We wouldn't hesitate to return in the future or to recommend it to friends and family.
