Our room (no.2) was spacious, spotless, well-maintained and quiet. The en-suite shower room was clean with reliable hot water. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful. The characterful village pub downstairs served good draft beers. Breakfast was modest but more than sufficient, served in a neighbouring village pub by a very amiable cook.
