About this house rental
Edisto Island is a relaxing paradise. This Marshfront home has outstanding views with sunsets that are breathtaking. An extra large screened porch allows for rocking to the beautiful marsh view, or outdoor dining . The porch also has a dinner table that helps you enjoy the sunset or enjoy your morning coffee with the abundance of nature.
Our favorite part is the rustle of the big Palmetto Tree next to the porch that lulls you. Located on the right side of the duplex, with the bike path right out front. Only a short block to the ocean beach.
In the winter, we have a beautiful gas fireplace to let you feel cozy.
Plenty of room to bring your boat to park while staying.
Internet Service, No Smoking, No Pets.
There is a service for linens and towels on the island, Edisto Essentials: https://edistoessentials.com/products. You will need to contact them for pricing. If you choose, we do supply linens so you don't need to bring your own, but please make sure to give yourself time to wash and replace the linens we provide you or bring your own. We have a listing of the bed sizes on our property page for reference.

The porch was great! With beautiful views of the marsh and wildlife. We really enjoyed it - with some minor changes it would have been perfect, there were lots of cobwebs and the ceiling fan was broken. The house itself was nice, good layout for a small group. The kitchen had lots of dishes and good variety of cookware - we cooked in for several meals. The TV was easy to use and we could connect to our own accounts without any problems- A plus! Our biggest complaint and the reason we did not give this a 5 star rating were the beds. We know that it comes down to personal preferences but we found the beds were not comfortable - we tried them all. There were pillow tops on all the beds that made them way too soft and not supportive. This was not good for people with back problems. The location is another plus, we liked the views of the marsh to watch the sunset and the walk to the beach was easy - just a few blocks. Or you can drive and parking at the beach was always available. So overall a really wonderful experience! Would recommend!!

This has been my 7th stay at LaMarsh Inn I have been going twice a year since 2022 it’s a quaint little charm brings me back and the owners are very quick to respond. You can drive down to the point for a beautiful sunset or walk to the sound end of the beach is about a block and a half. In the fall the pistol shrimp are a joy to hear from the marsh. They are great host

This unit is perfectly located on the Marsh side of Edisto.
The residence is nice but was unkempt. The dishwasher had not been run yet and the coffee maker was still full of grinds and dirty from the previous user. The Master bathtub had not been cleaned and had hair in it. The bedroom closets had blankets, and pillows just lying on the floor unfolded. As the owner noted the lockbox to get the key to the unit was quite difficult to get open. The last morning, there was a heavy rainstorm. The gutter over the steps was full and the water poured over the steps like a waterfall. Made it tough to load up the car.
It really is a nice place , but more attention to housekeeping should be noted.
