About this apartment rental
Villa Sotto il Monte has two apartments for rent, one for 5 - 6 and the other for 2 - 4.
A third apartment is occupied by the owner. The Villa is situated in a superb position with magnificent views across the Vale of Umbria to the Martani Mountains and to the nearby town of Trevi, which can be reached by foot in only ten minutes. Trevi has an unspoilt charm and offers several very good restaurants, a pizzeria, bars and shops. The beautifully restored Villa lies in a semi-fortified estate just outside the city walls. Below the house is the secluded garden which has a large salt water swimming pool (12m x 6m). Il Tramonto has a large double bedroom which leads directly onto a private terrace with wonderful views across the surrounding countryside and towards Trevi. There is a second bedroom with two single beds which can be combined. The apartment has a bathroom with shower and small bath tub and a new kitchen/dining room with induction hob and oven. The apartment is spacious, light and comfortably furnished. There are mosquito nets on all windows.

Situated on the eastern side of the Spoletto (Umbrian) valley the apartment offered stunning views across the valley to Montefalco, Bavagna and beyond and was just a short walk to the beautiful medieval city of Trevi. The apartment was beautifully furnished and was comfortable and provided all of the amenities we needed for our stay. The owner, Fiona, was an excellent host and was there to greet us and was on hand to offer help and advice when needed. We have visited Umbria many times and love this region of Italy and Fiona's house provides a wonderful place from which to re-visit the wonders of this part of Umbria and beyond. Sitting on the terrace with a glass of Prosecco (or Montelfalco Rosso) in the evening watching the spectacular sunsets was one of many happy memories will will cherish following our stay in Trevi.

Perfect location in Trevi and very nice host, but our Wifi did not work for the majority of the stay which was a big problem for me. Two of the beds are also in need of replacements. Could use some more amenities in the kitchen/ bathroom.
