About this apartment rental
The upstairs Bedroom has a queen and a twin bed. The downstairs has a full kitchen, dining table, sofa-bed, and TV. Free WIFI is available throughout the house, and it has central heat and Air Conditioning.
The off-street parking lot behind the house is a great place to leave your car for your visit, the 1/2 mile walk to downtown is nice and level and mostly along Siskiyou Boulevard.

Cottage provides everything you need to enjoy Ashland. Close to the Safeway and walkable to town.
The living room area would be a tight fit for more than 2 people. The loveseat only fits 2 people.
The bedroom is huge with a nice balcony.
The garden is a bit crammed. They have the main house and another rental unit sharing the outdoor space. Not as private as some of the other places I have stayed.
Nice to have two bathrooms.
Note that if you intend to walk to the theater, the alleyway where you exit the cottage is very dark. No street lights. So bring a flashlight when you are going out in the evenings.

The accommodation is very well located within walking distance of the center. Guests can use the quiet garden and a balcony. The landlord is very nice and helpful. The lower room is a bit dark and low, and the furnishings and furniture are somewhat outdated. The photos are a bit misleading.

The cottage is cute and was clean, so all good there. However, the yard is trashy with weeds, piles of leaves and kids toys scattered about. The cottage does need a bit of maintenance-nothing serious--peeling paint, deck rail needs to be replaced, upstairs shower slow to drain, etc. Also the cottage is in the alley, so it feels isolated and tucked away. That may be a good thing if that is what you are seeking. Overall, the location is OK, and it's a cute place, but for the above reasons we probably won't rent there again.
