About this house rental
Jacaranda is an architect-designed home. Full of character, with many interesting features such as inglenook fireplace, reclaimed brick feature walls, beamed ceilings, it is a luxurious property with a rustic theme and deep-pile carpeting throughout, and is suitable for families and groups.
The farmhouse-style kitchen leads onto an expansive hallway with turning staircase leading up to a galleried landing, off which is an exceptionally large bathroom with shower and corner bath. The upstairs master bedroom has a king-sized bed and large walk-in wardrobe. The second bedroom is on the ground floor and has a double bed and is spacious with French doors leading onto the rear garden, and the third bedroom is also on the ground floor and has twin beds. There is a separate dining room which comfortably seats 8 people. There is a ground-floor cloakroom. The log burner in the lounge makes the room very cosy in winter.
There is a compact rear garden which is sunny and private, and has a decked area with table and chairs, and a barbecue. There is parking available on the driveway for 3 cars.
Jacaranda is situated down a private gravel road, in a hamlet on the outskirts of the village of Marchwood and there is no through traffic. It is ideally situated for exploring both the New Forest and its villages, and the South Coast and beaches, as well as Southampton, Bournemouth and Portsmouth. London is easily reachable by train from Southampton Central Station.
We provide an information folder with essential details about the property, and all the local attractions, such as Peppa Pig World, Paultons Park, The New Forest Wildlife Park, and Beaulieu Motor Museum. There is a convenience store located less than a mile away, and several larger supermarkets within a 10 minute drive.

We so enjoyed our stay at Jacaranda. The house had everything we could possibly need. It was roomy and scrupulously clean, and communications with the lovely host were retuned very promptly. We don’t have small children anymore but would have appreciated how well-equipped it was for babies and toddlers if we had them- down to the security covers on electrical sockets. Just excellent!
