About this house rental
Our secluded and quiet home on Manhattan Beach is located at the north end of Rockaway Beach.
You can enjoy breathtaking ocean and sunset views from our oceanfront home and walk straight to the beach on our private path in just a few seconds.
Our beach tends to be less crowded and is perfect for picnics, sandcastle making and beach bonfires.
Cocktail hour and meals are enjoyed from the deck any time of the day, as is a morning cup of coffee.
Our 4 bedroom home has 3 bedrooms upstairs along with 1 bathroom. The lower level has 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms. Each bedroom is complete with space for clothing storage, soft sheets, fluffy pillows, comforters and plenty of extra blankets.
Kitchens are located on both levels of the home. The upstairs kitchen is fully equipped with a large selection of new dish-ware, silverware, cutlery, both teflon and stainless cookware, serving and mixing bowls, shellfish utensils, coffee maker, coffee grinder, pizza cutter, cutting boards, blender, hand mixer, crockpot, microwave, and most anything else the chef needs for meal preparation. There are chilled beer glasses in the freezer. The downstairs kitchen has an additional full size fridge, microwave and range as well as counter space, cupboards and a sink to assist with food storage and prep if needed. All utensils and dishes are located in the upstairs kitchen.
The full size dining table upstairs boasts a beautiful, panoramic ocean view.
Lower level entertainment area is complete with oversized, comfy furniture, and a big screen smart TV-perfect for late night movie watching after a day at the beach. Games, cards, and DVD's are also stored downstairs and the area is complete with a 12 foot Brunswick shuffle board table.
If you're "working from home" you can plug into our AC equipped computer bar.
The deck on the lower level is weather protected and provides a peek-a-boo ocean view and perfectly stores a vast collection of sand castle equipment for all to enjoy. Additionally, it is also accessible to the beach.
The center of Rockaway Beach is less than a 5 minute drive or a 1.5 mile easy walk on the sand.
Rockaway has 7.5 miles of unobstructed beach to explore.
Wifi with high speed internet, smart TVs (Firestick in upstairs living room ) for streaming services and cable TV.

Terrific location to be so close to the beach and also to be able to see the waves through the window (so that even when it's pouring rain you're not missing out!). The place is well appointed with kitchen appliances and dishes, and there are also beach chairs and toys for kids. We didn't use the second kitchen but I'm sure it's a bonus for larger groups who could benefit from having it. The only things missing were having washcloths in the bathrooms and sponges/dishrags in the kitchens.

This was my 4th year at this property. The house is clean and well equipped. For families with children, the private beach access can’t be beat. No having to cross roads or walk if you forgot something, a child needs a bathroom or you just need another beverage. It’s beautiful and relaxing. If you don’t want to fight crowds, but just enjoy your family, this place is perfect. The Miller’s have been a great host family. I hope to spend many more weekends here in years to come.
