The one thing that was a bummer was that we weren't able to open the master bedroom window because the screen was broken. Otherwise I would have given a 5 star. It felt like home. We would come back again.

Tucked away on a water lily covered canal. Easy walk to the public beach. Comfortable master bedroom and bath.

The one thing that was a bummer was that we weren't able to open the master bedroom window because the screen was broken. Some patio chairs on the deck would have been nice. The area was peaceful. It felt like home.

The house and location were both satisfactory. Our major concern for us and for future guests was the invasion by wasps/hornets. We must have killed at least a couple dozen of them and they seemed to be coming thru an opening in the ceiling in one of the small bedrooms. They DID NOT come in thru open windows or doors. One of the boys was stung when he was trying to kill it. The other minor complaint was the condition of the skillets - warped, we think the cast iron one was actually cracked. The cookie sheet was just nasty - no other way to describe it. We wondered at the number of books available and not a single lamp to read by. Now - that said. The house with its location next to the canal was lovely and interesting. It was close to the beach and the walk thru the neighborhood was easy. We would recommend this particular house with reservations because of those wasps.
