Try the wonderful coastal walk along to the ruins of Dunstanbrough Castle, an ideal base for birdwatching, walking, touring, fishing and golf. Visit all of Northumberland’s castles and attractions from this ideal base. Shop and pub 100 yards, restaurant 50 yards.

This is a really lovely cottage. The interior is of a very high quality and I think the photos on the web site don't quite do justice to that. The garden room is particularly nice to sit in, and the underfloor heating in there and elsewhere in the cottage is really nice. The cottage owners were very friendly and helpful. Most importantly as I have teenage children the WIFI is very good!
Other reviews have mentioned the parking. This was fine - the cottage has access to a dedicated parking space which is one of three parallel parking bays that are quite long (I have quite a big car) and the middle one is not being used currently. If all three were used at the same time it would be a bit tight but even then not a problem.
Overall would love to go back!

A lovely small cottage only a short distance from the village harbour and a few yards from the pub. Ideally located for walks along the coast path in both directions. We particularly enjoyed the garden room with glimpses of the sea between the other cottages.
The cottage was clean, generally well equipped and had all we needed for an enjoyable week in September.
