Unfortunately storm darragh hit just as we arrived and we lost electric for 3 days. Luckily enough Darren had plenty of logs for the woodburner that kept us warm for the 3 days we were without power. A kindly neighbour brought us some candles in on the Saturday evening so we had light. The walks in the local area were lovely although it was a shame to see the amount of trees that had been blown over in the winds. We wanted to walk the llyn-y-fran reservoir but it was closed due to the storm as was many places we visited during our week at y-teras. Darren kindly offered us 2 extra nights free due to the power cut and we stayed an extra night as we had other commitments on the weekend. The views from the balcony are beautiful although due to the weather we didn't use it but in the summer it would be fantastic to sit out with a bottle of wine.

Great little hideaway, with lots of lovely walks for our furry friends. The cottage had fantastic views and was a real home from home.Owner couldn't do enough for us and provided so much information and left a lovely welcoming hamper.Slight downside was the very steep steps to the property and a bit precarious when wet.

stunning views from the lounge area via the patio doors and balcony. we stayed in freezing conditions but were lovely and warm thanks to the log burner, logs supplied too( a big bonus). the cottage is beautifully presented and has everything you would need for a comfortable stay. we will definitely return at some stage.
