Exeter and Taunton are a short drive offering shops, theatres and restaurants, or visit the beaches of North Devon and even the Jurassic Coast. There are several National Trust properties and gardens in the area, including Knightshayes Court and grounds. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

The cottage was perfect, but not perfect for me, I have mobility issues and I found the laminate flooring in all the rooms, very akward.
The only small criticism I can make is there were no rugs anywhere in the cottage, the bathroom was particularly dodgy for me.
I think it should be advertised as unsuitable for people with mobility problems.
Mike and Sarah are perfect hosts, it is a shame that I could not cope with the wooden flooring.

The cottage is very much a rural idyll. For those wanting to get away from the hustle and bustle of city/town life, then this is the place to stay. The Challette at Timbertops is about 4 miles outside of Tiverton, much of which is along a narrow country lane. On arrival you discover a modern detached cottage with its own secure garden. Inside was a delight with every luxury you could imagine. We stayed in October and the heating system worked well ( in fact sometimes it got too warm ). The cottage is more than big enough for 4, either 2 adults + 2 children or 4 adults.
In the summer months there is a covered patio with garden chairs.
We found Sarah and Mike very friendly and welcoming , there when you needed them, but left you alone when you didn't.
All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it to those wanting a peaceful holiday.
