Peacefully set in 2 acres of lawned gardens, this beautifully furnished and extremely well-equipped holiday cottage enjoys excellent walks straight from the back door. Attached to the owner’s 17th-century home, Meadow Croft has its own terrace with beautiful views, and there is a lovely courtyard to the front of the property. The gardens are full of colour from the beautiful plants and trees in the spring and summer, and the view is just spectacular.
This is an area with lots of character, with hills that beckon the walker. For cyclists, the Afan Argoed Forestry Park, rated in the top ten in the world for mountain bike rides, is within easy reach. Spectacular drives over the inter-valley roads give amazing views, while the rich, rolling land of the Vale of Glamorgan offers many castles, interesting churches and manor houses to explore. The nearest sandy beaches are 12 miles, and the Gower Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty famous for its beaches, magnificent coastal scenery and rich birdlife, is easily accessible.
Caerphilly is easily accessible and is famous for its magnificent castle and the crumbly white cheese which is widely available throughout the town. The capital, Cardiff, is well worth the visit and is an easy and compact city to navigate, with the River Taff flowing through the heart of the city. The Millennium Stadium sits happily alongside much older buildings including the castle which gives the city a vibrant and cosmoplitan feel to it. Tennis, riding, fishing and golf nearby. Multi-screen cinema, restaurants and shopping complex 3 miles. Beach 12 miles. Shop and restaurant 3 miles, pub serving food, 100 yards.

Amazing location, beautiful views across the valley. The house was very cosy for a family of 5. Resonably close (drive) to shops. Hosts were absoluly loverly.

We were only able to stay for 4 of our 7 nights because of the COVID local lockdown in Bridgend but hope to return for another stay when the lockdowns are over.

Fabulous cottage in a wonderful location. The countryside is beautiful and so peaceful, but the motorway, supermarket, outlet centre, cinema and restaurants are all within 2 or 3 miles. Paul and Keith are terrific hosts and on hand to sort out any problems.
This was our third visit and we’ve already booked again for next year. Looking forward to it already!
