Rural retreat for two with wood burner, Chichester with cathedral and boat tours nearby, Portsmouth within easy reach.. 2 steps to entrance.

Cot and highchair available on request. Enclosed lawned garden with patio area and garden furniture. Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: There is a small unfenced duck pond opposite the drive entrance.. Converted from former farm buildings, these four holiday properties (two of which have been adapted for the disabled with shower chairs available), are in the Southdowns National Park. Properties 17320 and 17321 command fine views over the surrounding countryside. 17320 also has a worktop which has been lowered for wheelchair access to the sink in the kitchen. Situated in the grounds of the family farm (non-working), they are only 100 yards from the village of Compton with village shop and tea room with free wi-fi access. Enjoy peaceful walks along a bridle path leading to the South Downs Way, 2 miles designated as a National Park. The historic cathedral town of Chichester lies 10 miles away, with its cobbled streets adorned with tea rooms and restaurants, and the ornate cathedral. Scenic boat tours can be taken around the harbour. Goodwood and Fontwell races or polo at Cowdray are all within a short drive. Portsmouth, with shopping and leisure facilities, within easy reach. Hawking and falconry days can be arranged, prices on application and must be pre-booked direct with owner. Shop and pub 100 yards.

Lovely quite cottage in lovely country side near to many places so much to see and do safe enclosed garden for dogs lots of dog friendly places to eat . Cottage was really spacious with everything you need .

Cozy cottage for 2 humans and 2 labradors. Very comfortable with enough space for us all. Wonderful open field from the door step (perfect for games of fetch and a gentle wander before breakfast and bedtime) with lovely walks beyond. Village tea shop just a very short walk away for essentials and essential cakes and pastries. Easy access to beach and other picturesque towns, within a 30-40 minutes drive. No local pub sadly but there are some a short drive away. Took a star off as we unfortunately found it a bit difficult to communicate with the owners prior to arrival and felt the kitchen could have had a couple more supplies provided in comparison to other places visited (eg salt and pepper, cooking oil, ice tray) and the fridge was quite small but just about adequate. That said we would not be put off returning and would be very happy to visit again.

A lovely 3 night break at Compton Farm cottages in the “plough shedâ€, extremely relaxing.. just what we wanted!

We had a wonderful week in the Plough Shed. The location is wonderful for local attractions and amazing walks. The Octagonal Walks booklet which you can purchase at the local cafe/shop offers a variety of well documented walks.
The only thing we found disappointing was the amount of dog hair in the cottage, a good vacuum cleaner would have helped.
