This detached holiday bungalow is adjacent to the owner’s working farm in an elevated position above the village of Loftus, just a mile from the cliff top and a few hundred yards from the Cleveland Way footpath, which runs along the North Yorkshire heritage coastline. A woodburning stove provides a focal point in the spacious, cosy living room. The fishing village of Staithes, with its quaint harbour and cobbled alleyways to explore, is just 5 minutes drive away, whilst Whitby, a little further, has plenty to do for all the family. The North York Moors National Park is close by, with quaint villages including Goathland, alias ’Aidensfield’ in the TV series of Heartbeat. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

We had a lovely short break in this cottage and would definitely recommend it. It was clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything most people would need. We were a party of just two adults and a dog, and the garden was perfect for our energetic Labrador. The nearby village of Loftus has a good selection of shops including a superb bakery with bread and cakes to die for. It is well located for day trips to Saltburn, Staithes, Whitby and the NY Moors, so plenty to see and do. We really enjoyed it, and would go back for another stay.

Excellent place to stay . Rural but on 15 - 20Minutes to a lot of beaches . I loved it and so did the dogs
