If you were going to be washed up anywhere then Driftwood at St. Merryn will not disappoint. Don’t forget your tennis rackets!. 4 steps to entrance.

This very comfortable property sits only a few minutes’ drive from the attractive fishing harbour at Padstow, Rick Stein’s famous restaurants, and numerous fine sandy beaches. With unlimited Wi-Fi, you will be able to stream many movie and have a movie night in. One of a group of privately owned holiday homes, it is ideal for a relaxing break. Just over 2 miles away are glorious sandy beaches at Treyarnon Bay and Constantine, and the Camel cycle trail follows the river from Padstow to Wadebridge (9 miles by road) and on to Bodmin. Watergate Bay water sports centre, Trerice and Lanhydrock (both National Trust) and the Eden Project are a short drive. Shop in holiday village or St Merryn, 1 mile.

Driftwood is a well maintained, spotless holiday chalet in a good location with plenty of local amenities both on the site and in nearby St. Merryn (a few minutes drive only). The owners are very welcoming and helpful. The only thing stopping me giving five stars is that I found the beds uncomfortable.If driving into Padstow I would advise ignoring satnav and just following the B road round as that avoids the kind of single track roads that can give you nightmares!

It was nice to get away and have a change of scenery but the weather was just awful. Wind and rain pretty much all the time.
Still, at least we were warm and comfy in our home from home.

Impressed with the owners, who 'phoned us just before our holiday to advise the covid arrangements etc. We also met them when we arrived. Very professional.
Enjoyable stay with the family and enjoyed visits to all the local beaches.
