About this cottage rental
Ideal for a small family or two couples wishing to discover this lovely south east corner of Devon with so much to see and do for everyone.. All on the Ground Floor:

Kitchen: Electric Cooker, Microwave, Dishwasher
Living room 2: Sofa Bed (Single), Patio Doors Leading To Garden
Utility Room: Fridge/Freezer, Washing Machine, Tumble Dryer
Bedroom 1: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Bath With Shower Attachment, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet
Bedroom 2: Zip And Link 2 x Single (3ft) Beds Ensuite: Cubicle Shower, Heated Towel Rail, Toilet. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Travel cot and highchair. Welcome pack. Enclosed lawned garden with decked area and garden furniture. 10-acre grounds (shared with owner and other guests). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on lead at all times. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is an unfenced, 1ft deep pond, 50 yards away.. Situated in a quiet rural location, Bardon Lodge is a spacious property attached to the owner’s home and set within 10 acres of grounds. The property is surrounded by fields and woodland, yet close enough to all amenities. The property has been decorated and furnished to a very good standard and is all on one level with both bedrooms having en-suite facilities. There is a living room with patio doors which lead to the decking area, ideal for dining al fresco. The sitting room also has patio doors leading out to the garden. The owner has horses and free range chickens may even come and visit!
There are so many places to visit and so easy to get to. Take a trip to Totnes where there are many shops, markets and walks along the riverbank. Dartmoor is just a short car ride where you can see the ponies, walk the Tors or simply stop off in one of the many villages for a Devon cream tea. Paignton, Torquay and Brixham are also great places to visit, as are Exeter and Plymouth, both within 30 minutes’ drive. There are many National Trust properties including Agatha Christie’s summer home ’Greenway’, well worth a visit. For the children, there is Crealy Adventure park, or Go Ape in Haldon. If you are bringing a bicycle, there are many cycle ways off road to be explored, including Powderham Castle where there is a cycle track all along the estuary. There is so much to see and do in this glorious part of Devon. Beach 6 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Wow it was a lovely cottage beautiful views great pub/restaurant down the road and food very good great Sunday roast .The dog loved the freedom in the fields and garden beds and pillows very comfortable we will definitely be going back .

Had a lovely week away. It is a lovely property and we have booked to go again.Two pubs serving good beer and excellent food within walking distance.Good walking close by, with Dartmoor within a short drives distance.

Fantastic place and a wonderful experience. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. The property is spotless and very homely and we felt very comfortable and relaxed there - slept like logs, dogs included!! Our four-legged friends really liked the garden too. Would recommend it to anyone as a wonderful place to stay especially if they like their National Hunt racing as three courses are within driving distance. We will certainly look to return as we have relations in the area. Thanks so much for having us.
