About this house rental
Big Red Bunk Haus is a 3,500 sq. ft. home just minutes from wineries, shopping, museums, and hiking is the perfect place for family and friends to gather. This 8 bedroom, 4.5 bath home offers two living areas, a kitchen fully-stocked with professional-grade pots, pans, knives & utensils, and a swimming pool for your ideal getaway. It's perfect for night owls and early birds, as no one is expected to sleep in the downstairs common area. 11 ft. ceilings and 8 ft. solid-core doors accommodate even the tallest of Texans. Downstairs there is an open-concept living/ dining/ kitchen great room, 2 master bedrooms (both with king beds) with en suite bathrooms, a 3 bedroom suite (bdrm 1-queen, bdrm 2- double, bdrm 3- queen + twin) with a full bathroom, bedroom off kitchen with queen bed, half bathroom, and laundry room,. Upstairs you will find 2 more bedrooms (bdrm 1- queen + twin floor mattress, bdrm 2- full over twin bunk bed + twin floor mattress), a second living room (with 2 full-size futons), and another full bathroom. Outside relax on the wide back porch, in the pool or the picnic tables under the shady oaks.
It's easy to take advantage of all the attractions just minutes away- 7 minutes to shopping on Main Street, 10 minutes to HWY 290 wineries, 15 minutes to Luckenbach, and 30 minutes to Enchanted Rock State Natural Area. Groceries and supplies are also nearby- 10 minutes to Walmart, 12 minutes to HEB and 7 minutes to Short Stop convenient store.
Big Red offers the serenity of the country with the convenience of the city.
Big Red is situated on pastoral farmland. The home feels very private, but there are neighbors nearby and ask that all guests act accordingly. Quiet hours must be observed between 10 PM and 7 AM. House Rules must be adhered to; no guns, no fireworks, and fires are the biggies. These rules protect our neighbors. Violating these will result in losing your deposit and being asked to vacate the property without a refund. We want everyone to have a good time at our home, but we can't stress enough how important it is to protect those around us.

This house was very spacious for our entire family. It was very well stocked with amenities for cooking. The open floor plan allowed our family to never be separated while cooking, visiting, and playing games. We enjoyed sitting on the back porch watching the livestock and wildlife. Recommend this home for family getaway ways. Close to wineries and downtown

We had a family reunion and wedding event to attend nearby and were able to invite several additional family members to hangout and relax. The whole experience was very enjoyable.

We get a VRBO every year for two families over Memorial Day Weekend in the Texas Austin/Hill Country area. This was our favorite to date. Easy drive to all wineries and Main Street Fredericksburg. But the rustic spot was such a plus!!! The patio and pool and tree swing and cows were blissful. Fantastic set up for 3 families with kids or a girls trip.
