About this apartment rental
This property is a portion of a beautiful Villa in Todi (Umbria). The house was built in 2006, over the remains and in the style of a historical farm. The pool was added in 2018. Only 50 meters from the medieval walls of the town. It stands at the Center of an estate featuring aged oaks, walnut trees, olive trees, and fruit orchards.
The Villa is composed of two fully independent apartments which can both be rented during the whole year!!
The space in front of the entry door in the garden can be used for dining or relaxing. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor have a spectacular view of the Umbrian Hills.
Peaceful and secluded, the house is very conveniently located near the historic center of Todi. It provides the ideal location for day-trips to places of very high artistic, historical, natural and religious interest. In less than one hour drive guests can reach Orvieto, Perugia, Spoleto, Assisi (St. Francis), Spello, Cortona, Trevi, Lake Trasimeno, the Carsulae Roman Ruins, Arezzo (Piero della Francesca Frescoes), Norcia, Cascia and many other Umbrian and Southern Tuscan Towns (Siena is 90 minutes by car, Florence and Rome are 2 hours ). Also within one hour drive there are exceptional naturalistic sites such as “Cascata delle Marmore” (the largest waterfalls in Italy), Monti Sibillini and several natural parks.

Where do I start? The property is gorgeous, in a great location on the edge of town, with beautiful olive grove surroundings, and with wonderful vistas over rolling countryside. It’s spacious and well-appointed, although the kitchen is quite small (but then again, Todi is full of good places to eat out). Large, well-equipped bathrooms, comfy beds, a swimming pool that I really SHOULD have used (and hey, I would have, but it WAS late October), and all sorts of places to sit outside – I imagine the gardens would be utter paradise in the summer. And then there is Adele, who is a cordial and welcoming superhost, with just the right touch – hands on but not intrusive in any way. She went into action within seconds when the toaster terminated its contract, and a new toaster appeared within minutes: she is a delightful force of nature. What else is there? Three friendly cats on the property, who all swear blindly that Adele doesn’t feed them enough (she does – cats lie a lot). A slightly scary drive in and out – yes, it is steep, and Google Streetview does not prepare you for the first time, although it gets progressively easier. Todi itself is very attractive, and is a great base for touring Central Umbria: Spello, Spoleto, Deruta, Assisi, Perugia, Montefalco, and Orvieto are all within striking distance. Fabulous villa, just out of the walls of Todi. Easy to walk into the town if you dont mind hils, no parking hassles. Pool was a real bonus, cats to keep us company. Would recommend to families and couples. Adele was lovely..

We spent five wonderful days in beautiful Todi. The house is spacious, pleasant and comfortable (two bedrooms w its own facilities). The tasteful interior makes you feel at home. The house is surrounded by well-kept grounds and has an open-air swimming pool. You can walk to the city-center in 20 minutes.
Adele, our host, was very kind and welcoming and really cared about our well-being. She gave us al the information we needed and was always available to answer our questions. We strongly recommend this house suitable for all ages.
