This is a beautiful and cozy loft in downtown Hood River, with views of the river through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Right across the parking lot from Full Sail, and across the street from 6th Street Bistro. Your choices for dining include just about everything Hood River has to offer. Shopping is right out the front door. Pop over to Mike's ice cream anytime. The kitchen is well equipped for your stay, and you will find this a very comfortable home. Pull out sofa in the living room.... 2 parking passes included. Washer/dryer. Central air with A/C, cable, WiFi and Sonos. No smoking. No pets. Lic # 730. Sorry no AMEX.

Great location and off street parking. Easy to walk around town. Surface clean but vents, ceiling fan and corners could use a thorough cleaning. Wonderful place to stay for a weekend visit.

The location was excellent, right in the middle of town. Shopping, restaurants and bars all within walking distance.The bedrooms and living room were very clean, but there were a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen and the bathroom near the kitchen. Also, the barbecue grill did not work.

Ok here's my thoughts.
Pros:
1. Parking pass very convenient! Right outside the door.
2. Great great location. So many cool spots within walking distance.
3. Check in was very smooth and easy.
4. Kitchen had everything we needed but...see below.
5. Amazing views!
Cons:
1. Check out instructions were pretty intense when you're paying $150 in cleaning fees. Some of it is reasonable but wiping down the fridge, range, microwave and oven? I've stayed in many short term rentals and nobody has ever asked for that before. If I knew about these check out instructions before booking, I might have reconsidered booking. We didn't end up cooking for fear of having to wipe down the whole kitchen.
2. My biggest gripe is probably that nowhere does it mention that bottom floor bedroom is converted from a garage. They make it presentable but it's still very chilly since there's no insulation with the garage door. Anytime the middle bathroom flushed or took a shower, you could hear the water running down the huge pipe in the bottom room. Just feel like if I knew about the converted bedroom going forward and was able to set my expectations, then I wouldn't show up and feel like I had been misled on purpose.
3. Bathrooms were all out of shampoo and body wash. When I told the property manager, they didn't offer solutions to restock or reimburse since extras were locked away. Just extra salty since I paid $2000+ for the booking and $1500+ for a security deposit. If I don't follow all their check out instructions, they'll deduct from my deposit, but if they forget something or misrepresent something, there's no way to get any money back.
4. Not necessarily a con but something to consider if you're traveling with older folks or children. Yes they say it's a loft but they don't tell you that it's essentially 6 half-floors or split levels. Every room is on its own floor. Just a lot of stairs to do anything and no bathroom in the kitchen or living room.
