We had an outstanding family vacation at Denise’s beach home. Everything from check-in to check-out went smoothly and Denise was a wonderful communicator throughout. She even stocked the cupboard with some snacks for the kids and fresh flowers for our stay—very thoughtful touches. The pool and hot tub were spectacular for our four kids aged 3-8yrs and the home’s proximity made it easy to get to the beach, shops, and other areas like Disney and Newport. We will most definitely make it back to enjoy Denise’s SoCal beach home.

We loved staying at this house! It is in a nice quiet location and the kids loved the pool! The host was kind and very helpful, she went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay!

My family and I were really looking forward to staying at this location. However, one week before the trip we are asked to sign a 7 page lease agreement and have all 8 of our adult party-located in various places across the US- sign the house rules. There was no indication that these rules were a part of the booking based on the house profile. We considered cancelling then and there but with only a week until our vacation we didn’t think we would be able to find anywhere else.
The host Denise would blow up my phone daily. At one point to make sure we knew she had seen one family member scratch another family member’s car. We had already dealt with it prior but it was a good reminder to know she was always watching…
My phone blowing up was usually about places to eat and visit. We even went to some of them and they turned out to be very mediocre. I finally had to mute her notifications because her texts were relentless.
When we broke a couple of the rules, she was polite about reminding us about them which was fine, but I could never shake the feeling that she was always watching. It made it difficult to relax and we started getting out of the house whenever we could.
The home was extremely clean which was nice and when the waterfall stopped working, her husband quickly came to fix it.
