About this apartment rental
Bright modern and spacious apartment with very private entrance in a prime Santa Monica location. Surrounded by tall trees and enhanced by 11 large windows and a nice balcony where you can relax at the end of the day and watch the sunset, the apartment is tastefully decorated with real contemporary art and exotic pieces. The pad is conveniently located within a 2mn walk to Wholefoods, Starbucks, Chipotle, Yama Sushi and a myriad of local stores, a non denominational church and even a local dive bar...a great way to participate in a local in a los angeles neighborhood. Less than 5mn to “Japantown” area on Sawtelle blvd and downtown Santa Monica by car as well as 10 mn to Venice beach the pad features easily accessible bicycle paths. Located in a quiet street right in the heart of everything, it is very easy to hop on the Santa Monica freeway (10 fwy) or the San Diego freeway (405 fwy) located close by and be in Beverly Hills, hollywood, culver city, and Malibu within a 15 mn ride.

I slept like a rock. Everything was clean and comfortable. Accessing the apartment was easy. I particularly liked the great water pressure in the shower. I'll definitely be back.

I cannot say enough good things about this place and its hosts. Close to everything we wanted to go to, a quiet peaceful neighborhood, the most amount of sunlight LA can provide. I have never felt more comfortable and taken care of than I did here. 5 stars across the board.

Tania's place was absolutely wonderful for our two-day trip to Los Angeles. It's in a quiet residential neighborhood, so noise was never an issue. The apartment was beautiful, light and bright, with a cozy deck with comfortable chairs. The bedroom was comfortable with a nice memory foam mattress. Whenever I had a question, she was quick to answer and made us feel right at home.

While Tia was a friendly and responsive host, the cleanliness of the apartment wasn’t up to my liking. The apartment is light and bright with plenty of windows. However that is also part of the problem. There aren’t any screens on the windows and the windows are old and do nothing to keep the sound of over head planes landing at SM airport out. Likewise the lack of screens seems to add to the layer of dust covering most surfaces. The listing should acknowledge that the apartment is directly in the flight path of Santa Monica airport. Updating the windows would really help keep the sound out. Instead, the sound of the planes during the day and the freeway at night was fairly constant. Regarding the cleanliness, dust covered most surfaces and the bathroom needs to be gone over by a skilled professional.
My disclaimer is I am a fan of keeping my surroundings clean. My judgment in the above criticisms is not meant to dissuade others to visit the “funky” apartment, but rather a request to action for the owner.
