About this apartment rental
Your fully independent apartment (own entrance, 80 m2), rural location in the green countryside between The Hague, Leiden and Delft, is located along the former towpath of the Vliet, a small road now mainly in use for walking and cycling.
Your renovated attic is located under the sloping roof of a former farmhouse. The bright and sunny rooms with two large dormers are well equipped. Total floor area approximately 80 m2 .
You can reach your apartment through a private entrance in the former cowshed via a staircase (16 steps).
Composition of the house: a small hall, bathroom with shower and toilet, staircase of 4 steps, living room with large dormer, large bedroom (double bed 160x200) and smaller bedroom (single bed 90x 200, wardrobe), both with view on the water and pastures, well equipped kitchen with dining table (4 chairs) and a beautiful view from a large dormer.
NB1. Double floors: litte noise disturbance between upstairs and downstairs.
NB2. Due to the stairs the apartment might no be suitable for people with a limited mobility.
Your attic is fully insulated and equipped with every convenience, including central heating, TV with Google Chromecast and Digitenne, coffee filtermachine and Nespresso machine, microwave and electric oven, free wifi internet access etc.
Outside your own entrance you find a small, cozy sitting area furnished with chairs and a small table. An ideal place to have a nice breakfast to enjoy in our own private garden. There is also free parking space for your car available (see picture).Bicycles can be parked in the stable under lock and key. Electrical outlets are available for charging.
Although situated in the countryside, your apartment is in the vicinity of interesting cities like Delft, Leiden, The Hague, Gouda, Rotterdam and Amsterdam.
Both Leiden and The Hague, with many museums, attractions and shopping areas are easily accessible by public transport (bus stop 800 meters, regular services).
OV chip cards available.
In Leidschendam ( at 5 km): a direct metro connection to Rotterdam Central Station.
The Westfield Mall of the Netherlands: 8 km.
Distances by car: center The Hague 11 km, Leiden 13 km, Delft 15 km, Rotterdam 26 km, Gouda 35 km and Amsterdam 47 km.
Coast and beach by car: Scheveningen 15 km, Noordwijk 25 km.
Keukenhof (Tulips): 36 km.
Coast and beach by bike: 11 km (Wassenaarseslag)
Nearest supermarket by car: 5 km.

Wir wurden von Ed und Sonya herzlich empfangen. Wir bewohnten den Dachboden mit herrlichem Blick auf den Rijn-Schi-Kanal, der gleich vor dem Haus verläuft. Wir erreichten die Nordsee, Den Haag, Delft und Leiden mit dem Fahrrad. Radfahren in Holland ist traumhaft. Man fährt fast nie auf der Straße und hat fast immer Vorfahrt. Amsterdam und Gouda sind nicht weit. Auch die Floriade war toll.
Jederzeit wieder.

Sofort haben wir uns wie zuhause gefühlt, denn die Wohnung ist ausgestattet mit jeglichem Details, eben wie zuhause, z.B. im Bad: ausreichend Handtücher, Toilettenpapier, Shampoo, Seife, Taschentücher u.v.m. Auch in der Küche ist wirklich alles, was man braucht. Ed und seine Frau Sonja haben, wie uns berichtet, für ihre Urlaubsgäste einige Tage "probegewohnt". Deshalb diese angenehmen Details.
Der Standort des Hauses ist für Fahrradtouren prima. Mit dem Rad ist man sowieso auf kürzeren Wegen unterwegs als mit dem Auto.
Wir hatten zwei angenehme Wochen und haben die Wohnung und die Gegend in sehr guter Erinnerung.

Toller Ausgangspunkt für Radtouren ans Meer mit Dünenlandschaft oder in die umliegende Städte wie Leiden, Den Haag, Rotterdam, Amsterdam und Delft.
