Breakfast buffet offered a complete range. Location was good but even walking to the local town was not practical with poor footpaths and a lack of safe walking options.

The property was pretty new/renovated and very clean everywhere. Rooms were nicely decorated. The staff at the reception and the person that took me and my luggage to my room was very polite and friendly. The housekeeping was very good at what they were doing. I had to call the housekeeping twice to my room and in both times they were very warm and helpful. I also received a breakfast upgrade at the exclusive lounge and a dinner at Mezedaki, by Matthew (from guest relations - I guess). Very polite and thoughtful of them... Many thanks. The beach was beautiful; the sea was perfect to swim in. I did not try the swimming pools; so I cannot say anything about them. So, all in all the staff gets 5 stars from me <3
The hotel was fully booked when I was there. So, it was difficult to find sunbeds at the beach. Some of the parasols were broken. The food at the main restaurant was ok but nothing spectacular. Lastly, there is an urgent need of good coffee in the restaurant. The coffee from the machine was very bad. The hotel is advertised as 5 stars but definitely is below that. Still, it is a solid 4.5 stars for me. The food quality and the upkeeping of the beach area needs improvement.

Location is good. Staff on reception is very responsive (we got room upgrade, though I'm not sure it was a better option - I booked the room with sea view in the main building, while should cross the road to reach my villa....), beach bar staff - also. Sea is beautiful.
We also were given a complimentary lunch before departure.
Hotel is really tired, beach facilities require renovation.
Food quality in main restaurant is very average, lots of bread, but lack of other dishes, service - lazy, Coffee & wine - very average quality as well. Crete restaurant is good, nice staff there, but no sparking wine, for example, there was only the same ugly wine, as in the main restaurant, though sparking wine existed in the beach bar. It was an unpleasant smell of bad food in the restaurant and lack of air condition.
Beach: it's very difficult to find a shadow, umbrellas are small, beach beds - very heavy, we have to hunt for clean new beach towels.
Resume: not the 5 star hotel indeed, especially for such price.
