Our one bedroom, one bath cottage is a private getaway for the vacationing or working professional. We offer a private living space with patio and kitchenette. A quiet, peaceful, location, central to all Bay Area attractions and businesses.
Welcome to Los Gatos Cottage, our light and bright one bedroom cottage is a 10min walk to the heart of downtown Los Gatos with all its fabulous shops and restaurants. You will find a detached bedroom with King Bed, living area with soft couch, full bath and a kitchenette with a private yard and grill. We also offer storage for personal things and/or a bike. Whether you're on a business trip or vacation this is an ideal place to stay as a home away from home.
There is complete privacy with your own private entrance. The space will comfortably fit 2 adults.
Guest Access
As our guest you will have access to all the following: King Bed, on site laundry, free WIFI, a gas grill, desk, microwave, TV / DVD Player and Apple TV with Netflix access. We have an extensive DVD collection as well, if you just want to stay in and watch a movie.

The Neighborhood
The cottage is walking distance to Vasona Lake Park with activities for runners, bicyclists, hikers, and skaters. A short hike takes you to Vasona Lake Park where you, or your family can ride the Billy Jones Wildcat rail road, paddle boats and sailing on the lake or enjoy an outdoor Carousel. A few minutes away is Saint Josephs Hill trail for mountain biking, jogging and hiking.
The cottage is a five minute walk from the trailhead for the beloved Los Gatos Creek Trail for hiking and biking. Nestled at the foot of the Santa Cruz Mountains and a perfect gateway to all of Silicon Valley. The Town of Los Gatos is a wildly popular destination for everything from museums, the arts, nightlife with dancing and fine dining, to outdoor activities. The summer months feature two famous free concert series - Wednesday night Jazz on the Plazz and Sunday afternoon Los Gatos Music in the Park. Both are within walking distance from the cottage.
Convenient location near Whole Foods, Trader Joes, Peets Coffee, Starbucks, Panera Bread, and Shopping Centers.
Getting around
The Cottage is two blocks from Highway 17 Hwy 280, 85 and Hwy 101.

PETS: -
-- Dogs -- Are allowed on a case by case basis. Here are a few points that must be meet before I consider hosting your stay in my cottage with your dog.
- I will not host dogs that or larger then 25lbs
- I will only host dog breeds that do NOT shed normally
- Your dog should not bark and cry a lot
- Dogs will need to remain OFF the bed, couch and other furniture at all times
- If your leaving your dog in the cottage alone for long amounts of time it will need to be kept in a crate.
- Depending on the breed of dog I may require an additional non-refundable pet deposit of $200.00 at move in.

- Must remain covered when not at home
- Must remain in there cage at all times

We were renting the cottage for 5 weeks as we needed a place to stay until we find a suitable long term rental in the Bay Area. Los Gatos cottages is the perfect temporary place for a couple. The cottage is in a nice snd calm area, near to town. It is well equipped with everything you need. The bed is very comfortable, the bathroom is clean. Laundry machine is on site too. Chris the owner is absolutely welcoming and helpful. Thank you for having us, we can only recommend this place!

Cottage B was so comfortable and tranquil . My daughter and I enjoyed all the special little things such as HOME MADE banana bread, a beautiful fruit tray and all the little things you normally have to go out purchase. This cottage was fully equipt with everything from laundry detergent to toiletries and more. I highly recommend this cottage in Los Gatos and could not say enough about the kind gracious owner of the property. If anyone wants a great tranquil retreat in a beautiful neighborhood look at this cottage to stay. You won't regret it.!

We had a wonderful stay in this cottage conveniently located close to freeways and shopping. The cottage is in a quiet area of Los Gatos, a lovely and well-maintained community. Great restaurants close by..we recommend Viva and Steamers, both very close. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. Chris couldn't have been nicer! We were greeted with a loaf of chocolate chip banana bread and a bowl of fruit.....so welcome after a long day of driving.
It's a pleasure to recommend this property. We'll definitely stay here again next time we come through.

My husband and I stayed at this property for two months during April and May 2015. We know Los Gatos well from previous visits and were keen to be within walking distance of all the wonderful local shops, bars and restaurants. This cottage definitely delivered on that, being situated in a quiet, attractive neighbourhood about a 15 minute walk from downtown. The cottage itself was really homely and contained everything you need, and more, to have a real home from home experience, it was apparent that a great deal of thought had gone into the needs and comfort of visitors. There was plenty of space for two people. Chris was always available in case of problems/questions and although we experienced no major issues, it was good to know he was around. As a bonus, there was an attractive, shaded yard with a barbecue which remained cool even on warmer days. Super fast broadband and a really good shower are two things that always enhance your experience wherever you stay and both were excellent in this property. All in all, we had a wonderful stay and felt very much at home. I would definitely recommend this property for your Los Gatos stay.
