Casa Delfin Sonriente a 6 beautiful 6 bedroom bed and breakfast and rental villa located in Troncones near Ixtapa and Mexico's spectacular Pacific Coast. This listing features the entire villa (5 accommodations). A sixth accommodation can be added if more space is required. This elegant accommodation has a beautiful private deck and fantastic ocean view. Just fifteen miles from the luxurious resorts of Ixtapa and the yachters' paradise of Zihuatanejo, the quiet village of Troncones feels like a different era.
The large main kitchen, and two satellite kitchens, extra freezers and refrigerators, a large gas barbecue, and an exceptionally friendly and helpful live-in staff will prepare meals, and keep your family comfortable throughout your stay. Children have a safe garden area for play, and the pool, when the ocean is too rough. Child care can be arranged if desired. Your family will love the large open areas, hospitable surroundings, and unique decor. Either way the cleanliness and friendliness are immediately apparent and have won numerous commentaries in a number of travel publications.
Our beautiful Villa in sunny Mexico is perfect for weddings, workshops, retreats, surfing, eco tourism, swimming, mountain biking, jungle tours, horseback riding, trophy fishing, caving and hiking, artists, writers, teachers, beach combers, nature lovers and bird watchers, and anyone interested in healthy rest and relaxation.
Our lovely beachfront Mediterranean style villa is available with housekeeping. Located mid point on Troncones main beach the villa features large breeze-swept porticos, spectacular views, beautifully appointed rooms, sun-drenched pool and garden, and much more.
The Casa Delfin master kitchen is the central focus of our daily buffet style breakfast where yogurts, fresh fruit, granola, egg dishes, spicy chilaquiles, and or pancakes, toast, coffee and juices are served every morning between eight and ten thirty a.m.. The large tiled counters are perfect for many to join together in feast preparation and socializing throughout the day. A full size stove and refrigerator, freezer, small bar cabinet, large storage areas and ample cooking appliances complete the kitchen which is available to all guests for use after breakfast is served.
Our living room area seats 10-12 comfortably on two long sofas with ocean views looking out at the pool area. Our family room has a large carved cedar table surrounded by low benches, potted palms, bookcases and cupboards full of more books, games magazines, maps, and information of local restaurants and activities. Large paintings and colorful maps decorate the area which looks towards the ocean and pool areas and seats twelve on two tables. Extra seating on tables in the living room and around the pool are available as well.
Our flowering plants, gardens and lawns surround the villa while out front the sandy beach heats up and the warm clear ocean tempts you in.
Whether you are playing horse shoes, snoozing in a hammock between epoch beachcombing walks or body surfing out in front of the house, one of the special qualities of Casa Delfin Sonriente is that we try and make you feel at home. Our staff lives on site and is available to help with local information, finding a baby sitter, cooking a special feast or just to get to know, as many of our returning guest over the years have discovered.
If you wish to surf but didn’t bring your gear, a combination of long boards, fun boards, and short boards are available for rental. Boogie boards, horse shoe pit, bocce ball and ping pong table are all free to our guests, Lets not leave out our newly donated top secret and unlicensed gaming table: a felt poker table top with glass inserts, ceramic chip holders, and spiffy card decks.
We can help arrange guided tours into the wilderness of hills, forest, and lagoons of Mexico. Surfing safaris to outstanding breaks, and lessons for beginning and advanced surfers can be scheduled. We also host surf and yoga retreats with various instructors including the owner who is a long time surfer and yoga practitioner, You will often find challenging surfing right in front of our vacation rentals year-round!

The location and grounds of this home can’t be beat. Everything except the bedrooms are open air (with 2 open air suites upstairs) and it is tranquil, calm and beautiful. Maria is warm and inviting, her meals are delicious, and she can assist with any arrangements for taxis or anything else. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance, the beach is beautiful and calm and the pool is delightful. Be sure to bring your mosquito repellent!! Also, it was a bit hot to be without air conditioning but Mar was quick to accommodate us with 3 air conditioned rooms. We had the whole place to ourselves and it was extremely relaxing. This property is older, so if you are looking for something new and luxurious you may want to stay elsewhere. But for us, it was lovely and simple. Also Maria has a little tienda across the street that stocks the essentials and there is a fruit truck that comes around every few days. But be sure to do your big grocery shopping in ixtapa. Troncones is a magical place and we can’t wait to come back!

Very nice property with multiple rooms for many guests. The only issue we found was multiple people entering and exiting with their children from the morning up until about noon each day. There was a lack of privacy until noon as there were multiple people working the property and they would bring their children along (I understand that this is a cultural norm but it felt a bit intrusive).

Great location. Rustic and could use some upgrades especially bed linens and towels. Swimming pool surround needs safety measures.
