About this house rental
Beautifully restored German 1860s homestead nestled in the Texas Hill Country. Perfect for families - 3-house compound on 450 gorgeous acres. Owned and decorated by top San Antonio designer, this home has been published for it interior integrity and beauty. Poco A Poco has hosted many VIPs; a former Texas Governor, actors, San Antonio business tycoons and many admiring socialites. Luke Perry stayed here when he was filming 8 Seconds. A Blue Bell ice cream advertisement was filmed here. The main house has a full kitchen (incredibly well-stocked) with a cozy living room and fireplace, a wonderful spot for playing games, reading books or just visiting, a lovely dining room with seating for up to 8 people with attaching sitting area. There is a master bedroom and bathroom with tub. Upstairs is a kid room with 5 twin beds. There is a shared bathroom with shower and a lovely master with king. Adjacent to the main house is the blue room – it is a little house with 2 full beds and a bath with shower. There is another house we call the smokehouse (it was originally truly a smokehouse). It has a full kitchen, laundry room, master with a queen and bath with vanity, tub/shower. There is a crib in this house and a sofa in this house that would be perfect for a child. We have a lovely pool, playground, bikes. We are minutes to upscale grocery store, shopping, Boerne/Bulverde restaurants and antique stores. 25 minutes to San Antonio. We are 3 miles to Guadalupe State Park. Also a few miles to Anhalt, a dancehall first established in 1887.

Poco a Poco Ranch was a dream come true! We celebrated my bday and felt so special all weekend amongst all the beauty! From the design details to the unique property, the trees, the horses, the pool— this place is one of a kind! Margaret is an amazing host- answers any questions, goes above and beyond with the best house and kitchen and table decor you could ask for, and provided everything we needed for an easy and seamless weekend of fun! We will definitely be back to celebrate at this gorgeous property again! Extra kudos for the game room, fireplaces, and magical sunroom that made our weekend so warm and cozy. Everything was PERFECT!! Such a unique property with so much to admire! We had the perfect December weather and enjoyed all the outside luxuries this home has to offer! Looking for an excuse to have another family getaway! Margaret made the trip so easy and answered all of my questions about the local area. Thank you for the Perfect stay!
