About this house rental
100 year old Victorian, once lived in by Robert Mondavi. The house is down the street from the popular Farmstead Restaurant and walking distance to wineries and downtown St Helena. Enjoy all that the wine country has to offer from the comfort of your own home, while enjoying the pool, spa and barbecue. This home has been enjoyed by the owner and her friends and family for over 25 years.
My home has 3 bedrooms, 1 king and 2 queens. There is also an upstairs loft, with a trundle bed perfect for older kids!
Please see house rules. No large gatherings, maximum 6 people unless otherwised agreed upon. Please note that there is no AC or Heat in the loft or living room of the guesthouse. There is central HVAC in main house (new unit installed in 2021) and a split unit in the bedroom of the guesthouse. There are also ceiling fans in master bedroom, and both bedroom and living room of guesthouse.

This home was the perfect walking location to all the great restaurants, shops, bars, coffee shops, and grocery stores in Saint Helena! And perfect driving location to amazing wineries in the area. The home was so nice and clean, wonderful pool and hot tub, and loved enjoying our coffee in the morning on the front porch. Susan was so accommodating and helpful with anything we needed. Will definitely be returning to this wonderful property!

Communication with owner was easy, helpful & quick! All instructions were clear which made check-in/out simple. House was clean. Felt bigger than described. Great location….easy walking. Would stay again.

Although this location is excellent, be prepared that it is in serious need of updating. A few observations: Master bed divot middle due to age, no soap unless you hunted in drawers and then one small bar for 4 people. Hair in second bathroom. Pool not usable - dirty. Many owner possessions are hidden away (or not) in all the closets, rooms, etc. Looks like this is not a year around Vrbo, possible also owner occupied. Glasses in "china" cabinet dirty. Slight odor in property. Mirror in guest house is 8 X 10. One full length in all home that isn't appropriate for wedding guests. Many of our friends were in other Vrbo's in the St. Helena area that were pristine with amenities. If location is most important and you're not interested in spending time inside the home, this one is fine.
