Abbiamo deciso di spendere qualcosina in più e prendere la stanza vista mare. La consigliamo, ogni mattina era uno spettacolo. La struttura è gestita da una gentile e dolce coppia di signori anziani, che hanno reso ancora più caratteristico il nostro soggiorno.
Non vi aspettate il resort a cinque stella, ma una gestione famigliare. Rapporto qualità prezzo però ci siamo trovati molto bene

I loved staying at Sunset Bay Studios last June. My room had an amazing sea view, and I enjoyed wonderful breakfasts on the little balcony. Just a short walk from the guesthouse, there are two large supermarkets where you can buy fresh local products and drinks. In the room, there’s a small fridge—perfect for keeping drinks and fruit cool during the hot summer months—a kettle for tea and coffee, and a hot plate in case you want to warm something up.
It should be clear that this is a simple hotel/guesthouse, not a five-star designer city apartment, so it is not (nor should it be) equipped for cooking full multi-course lunches or dinners, as I had seen some people complain about in reviews before booking. Personally, I really appreciated these small conveniences, along with some basic crockery—just enough for simple needs. If you plan to spend all day in your room and cook every meal there, you’d need to bring extra supplies yourself.
Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. There’s no breakfast room or restaurant, but what I loved most was the large garden by the sea, where you can relax, chat, eat, and even use the grill. The bathroom was also well equipped and spotlessly clean. The beach to the left of the hotel becomes truly beautiful after about 200 meters; the first stretch, directly in front of the hotel, is pebbly—good for a quick dip or swim—but if you walk a bit further, you’ll find a lovely sandy beach with a few small places offering umbrellas and sunbeds at great prices. Along the way, there are several good tavernas and cafés where you can enjoy a meal or grab a cold drink.
The hosts, Georgios and Mary, are incredibly kind and helpful. I hope to return to Corfu soon, and I will definitely stay here again. To reach Agios Georgios, there’s a cheap public transportation service—a company called EasyBook organizes transfers to Corfu Town for €10—or you can take a taxi (around €60 each way).
Having to leave so soon to go back to rainy Germany …

Great location beside sandy beaches, stunning sea views. At the quieter end of town, small selection of bars and restaurants nearby or you can walk to the busier end of town for a bigger choice. Supermarket very close by, open until late in the evening.
“Green bus” stops very nearby to get to/from Corfu Town.
