Breaking Waves Retreat - Oregon Beach Vacations
Breaking Waves Retreat is the perfect ocean view home for an Oregon coast getaway with your family or friends. Nestled among the trees in a quiet neighborhood about three miles north of downtown Depoe Bay, the roar of the breaking waves can be heard from every room in this home. With four bedrooms and three full baths, this vacation rental is able to accommodate up to eight people. The main floor has a great room with an open beamed ceiling, a comfy living room with a sofa sleeper and gas fireplace, a well equipped kitchen for all your cooking needs, and a dining area that also contains a large assortment of games and books. The main floor deck runs the full length of the house and is located right off of the living room with a gorgeous ocean view. The main level also has two full baths and one with a walk-in shower. There are three queen bedrooms on the main floor. There is also a large utility room with a convenient washer and dryer, high chair, baby gates, and a pack and play available for guest use. The second floor contains another living area, small kitchen, and another deck to enjoy more of the ocean view. The primary suite with a queen bed and large bathroom with a tub and shower combination is also on the second floor. Both living rooms have TVs and DVD players. There is also a TV in the primary suite. Wi-Fi is offered throughout the home. Beach access is approximately a four minute walk down a somewhat steep path (little ones may need to hold on to their parents). The beach is practically private as it is only accessible to the neighborhood. While on vacation here, you could take a long walk to Fishing Rock and explore the tide pools at low tide, fly a kite, build sand castles, or hunt for agates. With only a ten minute drive to the south of Lincoln City, there are many restaurants and an outlet mall for you and your family to explore. Just 20 minutes down Hwy 101 is the Newport Hatfield Museum and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. With such a wonderful home to spend your summer vacation at, you'll want to come back again and again! Beautiful home and beautiful views. Easy to use kitchen. Great card table and chairs for cards. No ironing board in the nice laundry room. Laundry racks were nice to have Plenty of room for three couples or more.

Overall simple but nice, walk to beach a bit difficult, limited cleaning products. No outdoor grill was a disappointment. While we had two minor issues with a broken coffee maker and a clogged sink the response and follow up was excellent.

The house was very nice and easy to get to the beach. The only issue was that the upstairs bathroom smelled like pee and the bathroom floor was sticky. It was not clean. The rest of the house was very nice. It had a great view of the ocean.

The property itself was very nice. The furniture was comfortable as were the beds. It would be nice to have a chair in the bedrooms. The view was nice as was the location. The property was pretty clean but as my sister said for the $200 cleaning fee and the $70 damage fee the place should have been spotless and well stocked. The floor upstairs needed some attention and the TV table needed dusting. We were there seven days and they only gave us four pods for the dishwasher. We had to use one the morning we left so that left us only three for the whole week. The big problem was the upstairs bathroom window had no curtain on it and the neighbors could look straight in and see us plainly on the bathroom. I called the management around 4pm when we got in on Sunday and the answering operator didn't seem concerned and said she would let management know first thing Monday. I finally called again at around 10:30 Monday and the receptionest said a work order had been filled out. We never saw or heard from anyone for the rest of our stay. We enjoyed our stay there but would not recomend it to anyone as long as this company is managing it. We also thought their attitude about payments and the chance of emergencies causing a cancelation was a little heavy handed.
