If you want a wonderful family vacation this is a great house. You have the beautiful private beach which is spectacular. You have an incredible kitchen with ice machines, double ovens, a huge refrigerator and double dishwashers. Oh and a very long island for all the kids to eat pancakes at. There are so many bedrooms and baths, everyone can have a bit of private space, but then there are also the living spaces to come together. Our family mostly though, enjoyed the pool and outdoor space all day every day. The week went by too fast, but we had a great time here at Reunion House and can’t thank enough the owners who have done such a great job organizing their vacation rental and Cheryl their wonderfully responsive local agent.

Reunion House is an all weather, all season location-should the weather turn against you, there is still plenty to do. But when the weather is good, it’s a short walk to the beach.And the top floor bedroom is away from the fray-perfect for the grandparents

Our family of 10 adults and 11 children stayed at the Sandy Shores Reunion House property for a fall vacation and enjoyed our time, but the condition of the property fell short of even normal standards, particularly given the cost of our stay. The cleanliness upon our arrival was far from what we expected. The cleaning crew neglected to wipe down handrails on the stairs and didn't bother cleaning under any of the furniture (there was a significant amount of dirt and dust, paper debris, water bottles, etc. under beds, cabinets and tables. In addition, all of the ceiling fans had a season's worth (or more) of dirt and grime. When we called the property manager to discuss this we were told she could bring the cleaning team back but we would have to vacate the property for 4 hours if she did. We had 3 infants and a developmentally delayed child in our group, so we did not find this as an acceptable solution. After again calling the property manager about a clogged shower drain (which she came to fix using Draino) we talked to her about our overall disappointment with the housekeeping and she stated "we don't have time for a deep clean every week, so if you want clean you should come at the start of the season not the end." Obviously, this is not the type of response we expected to receive. There were a number of items, small and large, needing repair (including one of the major appliances) and several light bulbs that were burned out or flickering which we would have expected to have been changed during the cleaning/house prep process. This property is a lovely home with a number of very nice features. The owners need to hire a property manager who cares more about her role.
