About this cottage rental
Recently renovated to provide an upscale and memorable experience including an expansive resort-styled deck and covered dining area. The Nest is ideal for couples, girlfriend weekends or families. This property is the only cottage within the Conservation Area, with no adjacent lodgings as well as direct access to a wide sandy (shared) park beach. The modern design is optimal for two adults and up to four children, or 5-6 adults. Everyone will enjoy getting together on the large deck with plenty of dining seating, gas barbecue, conversation area and nearby fire pit. The interior includes modern conveniences such as a smart television and a full-size gas range and fridge. Luxurious bedding is provided for adults and fun kid-friendly bedding is available for our younger guests. Girlfriend groups will appreciate the Tommy Bahama all-cotton bedding and spa towels. We only use cotton bedding for adult bedding setups. Beach towels are provided at one per guest on request.
The cottage now includes pantry items such as spices, oil and vinegars, coffee (and bean grinder), tea, pancake mix and syrup. We do stock the fridge with shared basic condiments that are provided for convenience and are not refreshed until supply is exhausted. Use to your own comfort level, property host accepts no product liability.
The Nest sits in the heart of a mature Carolinian forest, in the Holiday Beach Conservation Area and is steps away from Lake Erie's sandy beach. Holiday Beach is globally recognized as an important bird area and park amenities include walking trails, boardwalks, a fishing pond, a 40 foot viewing tower overlooking the Big Creek wetland and large picnic areas. The park is conveniently located close to splash pads, mini golf, wineries, historic sites and many restaurants.
Refer to the cancellation policy as well as House Rules for more information regarding bookings. As this property is owned by a government agency, it must have strict guidelines regarding damages, unauthorized late departures and violations of the rental agreement. A $300 deposit is payable directly to the property host, that is refundable within 48 hours of departure, pending property inspection/condition and confirmation of adherence to the rental agreement. Please do not book if you cannot abide by the house rules and the terms of the agreement.
Our house rules: primary renter must be 25 or older, no smoking, no parties and no pets. Please see Policies section for more house rules and rental agreement.
Small events may be approved and additional fees apply. Early and late check outs might be accommodated, for an additional fee, depending on park staff availability.

Everything about our experience was absolutely 5 star!!The cottage was cleaner than an operating room in a hospital. The comfort was 10 out of 10. Everything we needed was stocked and supplied. The property was outstanding with serene tranquility and privacy. We had it all!We are definitely going to do it again Awesome thank you to Lisa with ERCA.

We had a wonderful stay. The weather was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the open concept living area. My favourite was the deck. We did water colour painting, and enjoyed the comfortable seating. There was so much to see. I will definitely come back.

Outside space was beautiful but noisy on the long weekend and "private" meant people still accessed the driveway with a 'no entry' sign or walked across the property line with dogs, etc. to access the cottages next door. Wee paid a lot for 'lake front property with beach front access' and the lake had a warning due to high levels of bacteria and we couldn't enjoy the beach. Always it's a gamble with little kids when you book, but I'd suggest checking the water reports before confirming your stay. Also, the write up says 'up-scale' beach cottage but everyone's standards are different. Overall, we made the most out of it and enjoyed the fire pit, comfy deck chairs, and surroundings.
